I agree with the others... see if you can get them to work on the price of the one on the lot. Worst that can happen is you walk away and wait for exactly what you want.
Best case, you get a really nice vehicle that you like and save a bunch of money.
I understand the exclusivity point, but at the same time, if they're selling well, hopefully they'll be around awhile longer and parts will continue to be made and readily available.
Did you reach out to the dealer that you bought the vehicle from? I've bought a handful of vehicles from out of state. The one time there was a slight issue, they wrote me a check for the $200 it cost to have the issue fixed at my local dealer.
