I almost never do on trivial trails like this one, and especially when I know I will not be going faster than 20mph or so. As I mentioned previously, I have driven this area dozens of time before and I have never seen anyone air down for it. But I guess all it takes is a single sharp rock...
While driving to work this morning I noticed that the driver side AC vents are blasting out hot air even when the AC setpoint is set to LO, while the passenger side responds properly to the temperature setpoint - LO means ice cold. This is with and without dual zone AC enabled. Resetting the...
Kofa Queen Road, the easy part before it goes into Kofa Queen Canyon - which is only marginally more challenging. I have driven this road several times per year over the past 15 years in tires ranging from semi passenger Jeep Sport stock to KO2, never had a problem.
The confluence of events is...
More weird stuff. One of the tires was unrepairable. On the outside it looked like a simple well contained puncture but on the inside the tire had a severe crack, perhaps 2 inches wide.
Same story on the slow leak tire. The shop had to dunk it to find the leak, it was that slow. But once they...
Was on an already trail.in AZ, have done it dozens of times over the past 15 years. In fact, been using KO2s for 15 years and have never had a flat on the trail.
Today I am driving on that same easy trail at under 20 mph and boom, low pressure alert. Tire went completely limp in a few minutes...
Just hit 36,000 miles. My hard top was already replaced once due to cracks. Taking bets on how long till the cracks re-appear now that the top is no longer under warranty. Thank you Ford, may I have another one :D
Thank you both, these.look solid and reasonably priced. My only concern is how this behaved and looks under the hard top. It looks a bit unsightly on his video.
I know many like the JTop but I am not prepared to spend that much on a bimini.
What are mid priced options - say $300 and below? I used to run Spyderwebshade on my Wrangler and liked it well enough. Had a Dirty Dog at one point but it was saggy and flapped in the wind.
I don't care if there...
Mmm... Inside the vehicle, close the doors, open the gas tank cover, press 7*8 and 9*0... Bingo, pesto, works exactly the same as if the oad was stuck to the door.
But hey, it is your rig, it's important that things are the way you want them.
Links for the mirrors? I have some on mine for the exact same reason (to see where the wheels are) but they are too exposed and easy to bump. Yours look like they are more shielded.
My take - if you don't know you need it, you don't need it. If there is a chance you will need recovery you should not go by yourself. Go with someone experienced who already has snatch straps. See how it goes before shelling out for something that takes up A LOT of space in the back and you...
Limited experience with RTTs but tons with ground tents. If you stay much drier in an RTT you may be comparing an RTT to a low end ground tent. I have spent multiple days in a ground tent, many miles off trail, in serious rainfalls and snowfalls and have been completely dry all the time. Most...
Highest impact hack: never, ever, RTT. As far as I can tell RTT accomplises several permanent objectives a) degrade mpg b) increase wind noise c) provide a shitty low quality alternative to a standard tent d) increase the setup time because now the vehicle needs to be level. But I digress...
I am torn on class action. The only people who do well are the lead plantiff and the lawyers. On the other hand, Ford's balls clearly need to be put in a vice over this. The most likely outcome is that they do what they should have done years ago - ditch Webasto, stop trying to provide a...
