A 3d printer isn't the correct tool for something like this, but AAL (and most manufacturers like Goose Gear) are using CNC machines to make everything. AAL seems like they are really ramping up, but still in a growing pain phase. Just my impressions.
American Adventure Labs is working on one. They have 1/2 of it done basically with their MASS platform for the 2-door. I have been going back and forth on goose gear or wait. I would prefer to have my heavy shit bolted to a steal sub-frame than coated plywood if an accident happens.
Faraday pouches seem smart if you are locking your key in the car. However, I think I trust the external keypad a LOT less than the key fob. Functionally the same signal and removable. Anyone in IT can tell you physical access to a system is game over in most cases. I can imagine a tool exists...
In my opinion lights are a piece of safety equipment and should be carefully considered as such. Spending $1800 on something that can prevent accidents, deer strikes, etc seems like a no brainer to me. People spend a lot of money on here to make their bronco look ‘cooler’ but less functional...
Go Fast Campers have the superlite. Production is temporarily halted until later 2023 but have been selling some stored stock during ‘drop’ events. They are easily removable. Still require a roof rack however. I snagged one.
Everyone should read this. This is one of the best car articles ever written imho. The Bronco AWD mode is very robust and was designed by one of the best companies. Like others have mentioned, F150s have had it and the new ranger will have it. It’s clutch based as mentioned that can vary how...
Please make a 2-door seat delete option as an alternative to the goose gear! It feels like many of us won’t have more than a passenger and a dog anyway.
I will be pulling my seats basically as soon as I get it. Perhaps I’ll give all my friends rides first and then pull them 😂
there are a lot of YouTube videos demonstrating that X Bulls work just fine and you could go through 3 sets before you hit the price of Max Tracks. I think people should buy them if they can’t afford the ‘real deal’ ones. My biggest complaint is that the xbulls don’t stack nicely so if you were...
Welcome to the nerd zone! You are correct! In my textbooks is was called explosive cyclogenesis. This is the type of storm that sank the Edmund Fitzgerald.
The less complicated explanation is that the polar jet has been weakening as a result of arctic warming. Poles are warming faster than the...
Meteorologist here. From a technical standpoint, a bomb cyclone is any mid latitude cyclone that lowers in pressure by 24 millibars in 24 hours.
Most popular media now calls any bad storm a bomb. I have not checked if this storm was a bomb by meteorological standards. Also the NWS does not name...
Lol, I'm not sure cultural intolerance is a legit reason. Do you know how type A those folks are? I'd probably rather have something made in Japan. But, it seems Toyota's manufacturing ethos have followed to the other plants around the world since there doesn't seem to be reliability issues out...
EDIT: I was schooled, 4runners are made in Japan even if many of the other vehicles aren't. Still doesn't change how I feel about it though.

Click on 'Engineering and Manufacturing'. My 21' Tacoma was made at the Mexican plant. Trade agreements...
If you talk to Nokian the manufacturer, they will tell you exactly that. The only conditions studs make sense in is if your tires will likely never see dry pavement in winter such as Alaska. Studs reduce tire traction on pavement and wear down incredibly quickly on dry surfaces (not to mention...
There are tradeoffs to everything and while legally you have to carry them in some places, I'd use them as the very last solution if I was out alone. There is a very narrow window where chains are useful. Winter tires are better on ice/snow than chains, especially if you are going to go to <30...
