Glad I canceled my 23 order and shifted to a 24 with another dealership. With exhausted hard top and 2.3L availability I obviously never stood a chance. The wait continues.
I haven't heard zip from my dealer about moving unscheduled orders over to 2024. When I've called they've told me they haven't received marching orders yet. I placed a new order for a 24 with another dealership when banks reopened. If I'm not picked for these last couple scheduling cycles then...
I ordered a new 24 the other day with a different dealer. I don’t have any hope for my existing order with my existing dealership. If I don’t see progress with that order in the next couple week, or them offering to re-order as a 24, I’ll be canceling and getting my deposit back.
I just put a 24 order in with another dealership. Received my “early order” confirmation a bit ago. Depending on the next few weeks I’ll probably cancel my order with my original dealership unless they get back to me with some updates. I don’t like having this much deposit money floating around...
It seems like despite the scheduling detail post posted on Mondays, next to zip have actually been scheduled in the last few weeks. Or at least they haven't posted anything such as a screenshot of their scheduling emails. One can hope that MY24 order holders will have much more luck. This...
This is frustrating. I’ll have to try and stop in. I’ve already told me dealer I’ve read xyz and they tell me “that’s not true” - if I wasn’t going to “lose my place in line” I’d just cancel and go to another dealer.
Already received a response saying they haven’t received any information on converting unscheduled MY23 orders over and that they’ll be in touch when they get that information 🤷🏼‍♂️ AFAIK it’ll require placing an entirely new order.
How will this work for us MY23 order holders who are still waiting to be scheduled that don't get scheduled? I heard we'll "keep our place in line" - can we expect our dealers to reach out to us to re-order a 24 even if banks close?
Thanks for clarifying, guys. I guess I feel that if I don’t “hop” on the res bandwagon on the 14th with a new dealer for a new 2024MY order I’m just going to remain in this unscheduled purgatory.
I don’t want to “lose my place in line” with my current order/dealer - but if I wait until my...
I read that ford may ditch the reservation system. How would that shift the ordering process? Buy purely retail stock? First come first serve orders?
What will likely happen next week for existing unscheduled orders when banks reopen?
no, as lowcountry said above, today is the cutoff for placing new orders with a dealership for MY23. If you already have an order in, you may be picked up for another production week. If your car doesn’t get produced by a certain date (unknown at this point?) your order will be canceled and...
Im curious to hear about how existing order holders can switch their order over to 2024. I want my deposit back from my current dealer so I can order through one where I might actually stand a chance of getting a car.
South Bay Ford. They’re nice guys, but respond to me with “that’s impossible” when I tell them people are getting scheduled within a few days of ordering and “don’t believe what you’re reading on the internet.” Okay dude. The other week they told me people who ordered a couple years ago through...
