Dealer called - they fixed it.... and it was over 3K to do it. I don't remember getting a quote and authorizing the work, but here we are. <face palm> I guess we'll see what Ford wants to chip in - funny that they will cover a broken axle shaft, destroyed differential but not a bracket or tab...
Dealer called - more denial.
The service rep was nice, was a little suprised I had Ford directly call them and they are fighting to get the repair covered. Hhe also said Ford claims to have no record of me calling - which is odd, but I've got a case number that says otherwise.
Still digging...
The clunk happens when going changing directions in low range - we have to power brake it a little bit, but it does do it. What I was really initially hearing was the diff hitting my ARB skid plate. I thought it may have been bent so I pulled it only to find it was nice and flat in that area...
If the oil changes are cheaper than I can buy oil at Walmart and filters at the local parts store, i'll do it. The extended warranty has paid for itsself 4x for my 19 6.7 Platinum Superduty - would do again.
Can you PM me some info - I'd rather not go that route, but I want to be prepared...
Ouch - ok... that's the actual PN that I figured actually mattered, not the big ol list of parts needed.
I'm going to make some serious noise if they push back - using the vehicle as designed and parts rip off the frame. NOT cool.
Any chance you can get the instructions that come with...
Interesting - I chatted with another customer relationship tech and he said it was covered under powertrain and looks to be covered under the extended warranty as well.
He called the dealership, got a parts SME on the line and verified that the system is probably kicking it due to being out...
Called the Customer Relationship Center and was told this wasn't covered, sent me over to preiumum care and they told me this was a Ford warranty issue, not a preiumum care issue.
Sent back over to Customer Relationship Center - not looking good so far.
I don't understand how so many people...
I've got my Bronco at the dealer for a few recalls and the front differential clunk. They found that the front bracket is cracked and even though I've got the Ford Protect PremiumCARE it's not showing up as covered.
I see all sorts of people getting this issue repaired under warranty -...
They have their uses.... mostly on dedicated crawlers. There really isn't anywhere to use them on these new vehicles. One slip and you will do thousands in damage with the jack -
Don't get me wrong, they have their uses... I've used them plenty of times on my rigs and others, but they are...
They are kinda deseriable to the Zuki crowd and they make excellent snow wheeling tires, so take that into consideration. Chuck em up at $500, wait a week or two and drop them $100 at a shot. Unless you don't want to deal with em, they should roll away at that price rather quickly.
They angle up quite nicely - I am very impressed with the STT Pros I recently put on as well, quieter than the worn out Territories (didn't even last 20k) and they perform REALLY well.
I'll agree that the GOAT modes traction control leaves a bit to be desired, I've used it a couple of times and simply ignore it unless it's to screw around in Sport mode or Eco. Simply using low range turns off the traction control and (I think dang near all of the stability control) and you...
I found these looking for plow lights, they work fantastically for lighting up everything as fast as my 6.7 CCSB will go.
I bought these in 2020 and they are still rocking bright AF. Lifetime warranty, $100 A PAIR...
The SAS Goodyears are dubbed the Rocker Chucker 9000's and they take every bit of gravel off my driveway and carry it into the garage and the street. The are noisy, wore like butter (smoked at 18K) and are weather cracking like decade old BFG's at this point.
You have to take off the front and plate behind it - it takes under 2 minutes with any impact (if you don't even know what you're doing, just looking at fasteners). It's a non-issue - my dealership didn't even care they had to remove the plates to change the oil. It was mentioned on the...
