I like it but it’s definitely on the smaller side when compared my old harbor freight ATV rack.
I do like the rucrack because I can mount other stuff to it and open the tailgate and use it to carry bikes.
I would like one that works with tailgate tables, retains access to the under trunk storage, has a top slide out as well as a drawer AND either levels the back for sleeping OR has a flip over levelling platform on a hinge.
Its not even about cost the value of this over the Ursa Minor (a proven company with an almost certainly higher value product) is that this product seems to make the choice to sacrifice headroom (arguable the bronco has plenty) in order to not increase the overall height of the Bronco. Massive...

Check this out, good sturdy solution for you to just buy and attach this to OR just take inspo from this and make something yourself
I’m right at your height and run the deepsleep setup. If you flip your headrests around you won’t need to pack the footwells to fill the gap for extra length.
Also, praise to the Honda XR650L. 🙌
I would love to get this. I think I can make it work with my aftermarket soft top but Im not confident enough to make the purchase
I'd be throwing an awning on there for sure. An annex room off the side would be great for leaving the window open for airflow and sleeping inside.
I would really like the full setup thats in this video. What is the cargo floor/leveling/drawer thing? Does BA make it? I think I could come up with a really solid camper setup with this cargo shelf and a levelling platform like that.
The Harbor Freight ATV carrier fits with the spare tire (obv doesnt swing out) but gives you some rise for departure angle. I used it once on a trip to Moab (offroad included) and had no issues. Just removed it and left it at my campsite while I explored the area.
Check out the RucRak system. Spare tire mount and then rests on your hitch for weight distribution. Highest clearance option that I can imagine that still lets you open the tailgate.

In 2025 I Resolve To Offroad with Metalcloak!
To fulfill my pledge I need:
1. Bronco 6G Front Bumper System
2. Bronco 6G Rear Bumper System
3. Bronco 6G Overline Rocker Rails, 4-Door
I can get some photos myself later but I would think it would not be compatible. Here's a shot from the manufacturer. Theres a significant bracket installed that looks like it would conflict with the x rack or at least be very close toto getting in the way.
Hey, I have experience with a hitch carrier. Admittedly I used a Harbor Freight one so Im sure there are higher quality solutions.
Ultimately I decided a small trailer serves the purpose better and feels a lot less sketchy to me.
I switched from the oem soft top to this one as well and definitely prefer it. The back seat experience with the top flipped back has been reported to me as much better (since the front opening is smaller), I can flip the top back and forward without leaving the driver seat, and I also like the...
