There are plenty of us that have no issues. 2022 that lives outside 100% of the time and it is fine. Will it be that way forever, maybe not but no issues so far.
I think I used Curt on my '22, both hitch and wiring. Works great and no issues. I'm not integrated with any control module so if there is sway control assist then I don't get that. Just lights and the ability to pull the trailer which is all I need.
Hard top...I'd be one of those weirdos that would be fine with a fixed hard top (i.e. non-removable).
My '75 has a steel top that has never been removed.
I've had soft top vehicles and just don't care for them. Having dark hair meant that in the summer sun by brain felt like it was cooking.
You didn't happen to do a side by side comparison between what you pulled off vs the new version did you? Just curious. Also forgive me if you already said, were you running a tune and/or mods or just stock?
Just trying to learn from others.
Too many humbugs...I welcome another drivetrain option in the Bronco. I'd like see the Bronco line be sustainable and investment by Ford in developing new drivetrains is a good thing. If tuned for it, a hybrid drivetrain to support overlanding would be great. No I won't be buying one...I'll...
Welcome to the world of vacuum boosted brakes. Just press, release, then press again and you have the brake pedal feel that you want. For an emergency, the first press will get you stopped just with some extra pedal travel. My Ford based RV brakes in a similar fashion. You can develop muscle...
Flush to slide in heavy things. I won't sleep in mine camping but if I did that would be another reason. It would be silly to have it shorter than the folded seats creating that 0.71" step up.
As a tangential data point, Ford tests all their vehicles and engines down to -40F on a routine basis during development. This includes their drivetrain test cells and climatic tunnels, all of which have 4 wheel dynos.
That is tough. Sorry to hear of your problems but I agree it would be hard to trust a vehicle that has had multiple issues. My 2022 Squatched OBX has been trouble free for 26k, even after being in an accident that took it off the road for a couple of months. Sometimes you have one build on a...
Captain Obvious - ouch! That isn't good.
I would love to have the MOD top as an option to replace the MIC top. So far I've only seen the MIC top for a 4 door available on the Ford parts website.
No matter what responses you get, there is no way I would flat tow that Bronco again. I agree that Ford has an issue with SOME Broncos and flat towing, but is not being transparent enough for the average person to determine is it safe or not. Just my opinion.
I sprung for a dedicated toad for...
It depends on what you are towing it for. With an RV, flat towing is by far the easiest to live with. If I am taking my Bronco to trail ride or other and pulling with a truck then a trailer would be my preference.
Having said that, I own a Bronco and have a dedicated other vehicle for flat...
Battery life depends a lot on how you use the vehicle. Number of starts per day, length of time running per start, amount of time without running, etc.
Mine is a daily and I drive to work 4 times a week at 20 min of driving per start. No extended time without running longer than 1 week. My...
