90% of the wind noise banter is the hard top vs soft top crews. I have a soft top and can say wind noise sucks. His same debate occurs when discussing exhaust mods.
Eventually, I'll be adding a small pick up to the fleet as a daily and then the bronco shall be top and doorless forever more...
I went with Bulletpoint mag-safe on composite arm. Connected to dashtop USB is the Perfect solution. The factory cubby with the useless charger is used for storage. Storage is the crucial need in the Bronco so moving the phone to the dash helps.
I have a fall 22 build and mostly great.
Get a 22 or higher Badlands, Lux, hard top, Sasquatch, Modular Bumper, AUX, Tow. Simple build from that starting point. It’s a black interior with orange accents and It’s probably the least jarring of all the trims.
All the hardware is sorted from the...
We have Homelink in all four of our cars and garage park two. When I had my placeholder beater waiting on my OG Covid Bronco Build, I upgraded my 20 year old Genie garage door openers with a Wireless add on kit for less than $200 which has a phone app.
The new Bronco has Homelink and I use it...
I’m at 18k and just starting to get the symptoms you describe. The 10 speed seems to be a bit finicky. A few internet videos seem to indicate a clearance issue on the fluid circuit in the trans.
There are excellent aftermarket options to do aux switches. I have the aux switches and have yet to even hook anything up to them. I was gonna add strobes on #3 since I also use my truck for work, but I got the BCM module to run factory lights as strobes so that problem was solved in 10 minutes...
Pointing out the obvious. Trading in a year old anything will be a massive hit, to then trade it and restart another massive hit. Assuming you otherwise love your Bronco, Buy a hard top if you want one. You will lose more than $5k on the trade.
I have a Badlands and did a dynomat upgrade in the...
Jeep put my lust top in that commercial. If Ford could only make the MOD top they promised on launch to all of us early takers. That was the only shade thrown. I still won’t give up my Bronco. I just want the top availability to improve. Jeep killed it with the Sky one touch. The advantage ends...
I was an OG XM guy in DC in 2001 (less than 50k subs). When they sold out in 03-04 to adds, I killed it. I loved a long road trip with no static and willing to pay for content with no commercials. Ads started small, but greed is obvious when you are the one paying. I have refused all SXM on any...
Lots of good things covered here. Tires and brakes care about miles. Engines care about hours running and % of rated HP. Us big stationary engine generator folks test oil every 500 hours. I’ve got 20 year old stand by that have less than 2000 hours running factory oil with perfect results. You...
I manage a fleet of 85 light, medium, heavy trucks. We have two NOCO and one is now over 7 years old and abused by fleet users. It still runs flawlessly to start Cummins 6B and Navistar’s. This is one area, I’d struggle to off brand cheap out. I had a personal cheap everstart combo inflator that...
These were my first choice wheel but unobtainable when I was ready, so I pivoted to RTR Evo. Pulling this much weight from wheels is a real game changer when doing five tire rotation and other wheel off work. The RTR’s came in under 24 lbs. I may eventually pivot back to these wheels when I go...
Apple watch will do it or even iPhone apps are free for this. I had 90 dB at highway speed with the Flow FX exhaust. so yeah, that came off. I wish all exhaust reviews consistently did measured sound.
I wanted to get home and put it in to take some measurements. So with a Badlands non squatch (33”) tire, There is exactly 1” to spare from the carrier to the tire. It could easily be increased using a custom cheap gusset plate on the truck side to replace the center tie bracket.
I threw a harbor freight steel unit at mine for some boat batteries I needed to move. The real issue with my boat trailers and the the cargo carrier is the spare. It’s right over the ball for trailer and it eats into the hitch hauler space. You can Open the tailgate with nothing in the carrier...
