i've seen lots of vids of people restored really old and sun faded black plastic with heat. if youre considering replacing them, give a heat gun a try!
glad to hear ya'll came out safe. really disappointing to hear they couldn't find the cause. any malfunction or failure that can be so catastrophic and not known why is definitely a bit scary
There's a crap ford dealership at the end of my street (looking at your North County Ford) and at the peak of the dealer markups, i drove 500 miles from San Diego to the SF Bay Area to buy mine with no markup (shout out to Walnut Creek Ford).
some fresh pics, i got to admit i like the read end look:

i love it! at the end of the day it's just gauges, but the digital cluster seriously makes the Bronco feel refreshed & feels like a nice quality of life upgrade. i really disliked the old gauge cluster. is it expensive, and maybe a little unnecessary? sure, but would i buy it again? ABSOLUTELY.
goat modes are separate from the gauges. only thing to note is that is only supports 7 GOAT modes, so i've you've enabled your missing goat mode (for 8 total), it still works, it just rolls off the display. i ended up disabling ECO since i'd rather have Sport and didnt want any quirks.
