I'm going to be spending the day trying to fix, yet again, the leak from the windshield header. I've applied sealant where the the ford TSB (?) states, I've found missing nuts that secure the seal down.
What's really frustrating is that it doesn't immediately leak when it rains. It seems to...
As someone had mentioned before, Tesa tape (or some knock off) is typically better for securing harnesses. It mainly just sticks to itself so it doesn't leave a slimy residue. Also, it doesn't stretch so you can make nice tight bundles. Actual harness tape doesn't have any adhesive and would...
Holy necro post
Fighting a leak that started this fall, 2022 Badlands. Had been fine since new, but then it started from above the visor, coming from where the trim pieces fit together. Not when sitting, not even in heavy rain, but when driving. Usually after driving 5-10 miles. Tried...
Honestly, I never know what to expect every time I start the thing. Seems like there's always something a little quirky. Can never tell if it was an update, or just screwing things up on it's own, i.e. "as designed"
Took the Bronco out on some forest service roads giving a tour of the area to visiting friend. Aired down to ~20lbs, mainly for comfort, rocky patches suck. Ended up getting a flat (drove over a metal spike at the very top of a mountain). With the usual amount of hassle, got the tire changed...
I have found that I hit my knee on the light switch, turning them on when I get in. As soon as I start it, it returns to Auto. Took me a while to figure out what was happening
If you're mechanically inclined, pull the alternator yourself and clean it. On mine, the brushes got fouled. Once I took it apart, I reset the brushes and it's been fine for over 15k miles. Get your self a new belt and just cut off the old one. That was one of the more difficult aspects as...
The typical break point for true winter tires is 45f. Typical tire compounds start getting harder as it gets colder, winter compounds get softer above 45. I "think" they are trying to say (poorly) that these tires are designed for above and below that 45f point. Would definitely think you...
Yeah, the only way I have found is to disable the wireless connections to the Bronco, then you can connect to the dashcam. I rarely connect to my dashcam though, typically just pull the card and download it my PC if there's anything interesting. Keep a pretty big card in there so I have a...
Nothing on FordPass. This is when I'm in the vehicle and just hit the button to stop the engine which is so weird. Nothing seems consistent with location, it happens at home, at misc parking spots, etc
Anyone else get this message AFTER turning the engine off? I've gotten it occasionally while running, but seem to get it more often when I have just shut it down. I've gotten to the point I just ignore it but really don't want to be stuck somewhere.
Is this a 2.3? There aren't any idlers for the alternator on the 2.7, it uses a stretch belt. Guess the crank pulley and other systems could have been damaged, but that's way more than what the TSB would cover
