Iāve seen about 3 different links on Amazon and they all say *updated* but are at different prices. One of these has reviews that make think itās the original version (handle breaking when pulled on). Which link is the one you guys are getting the latest version? Maybe @AIGMUX can chime in...
Enjoy your retirement! The last 4 banger MT I had was in a 2003 Subaru WRX. That was no slouch š and it only had 5 gears. Granted itās about 1/3 less heavy.
I wouldnāt be surprised if you were back on this board showing off your next Bronco. That itch wonāt go away!
There is a local shop who is an authorized ARB installer and I really thought about using them. Unfortunately they were booked out for 2 weeks or otherwise I probably wouldāve had it professionally installed. Not sure if thatās an option you want to consider.
I used some adhesive wire management clips to hold the cables in place and those have worked well.
I didnāt have any centering issues on mine; if you installed the M16 bolts, you may be able to use those adjust the side to side fitment. Also, since I didnāt use all the bolts, mine probably has...
We never could get all the bolts to line up, so I only have 3 of the 5 bolts holding up the driver's side. Given the tightness with the frame is close to a press fit with the jacking and hammering it took to get what could align, it seems very solid. I have it level and even with just 3 bolts...
The spare mounted license plate is growing on me but not something I want to keep long term. My DV8 relocation kit just came in, so Iām just waiting for weather to warm up before installing it. That may not be until next weekend unfortunately.
I had a similar vibration on a Jeep Grand Cherokee eons ago. The root cause was cracked engine mounts. They were faulty and would cause the whole car to shake. The engine mounts got replaced and the vibration went away. Just a thought on what could be happening.
Yes, I had the plastic WT bumper. So far, my rear sensors are working fine. I havenāt gone on any gravel roads recently so I canāt comment there. Width-wise, it matches the wide fenders. Note that ARB does make a narrow fender version of the same bumper, just has a different part number...
I just installed the ARB rear bumper. It was on sale for 50% off but itās back to regular price now. It works with or without parking sensors. Warning - itās a PITA to install.
Yep, mine showed up on Friday also. We had talked about doing it Saturday if it showed up before, so I locked it in as soon as the bumper showed up. I got lucky with timing.
He brought over a 2 ton jack, 2x4, and a BFH and the driver's side still didn't line up. We ended up widening one of the...
I pulled a phone-a-friend and installed the rear bumper over the weekend. My friend is very savvy in automotive bodywork and said this was the most complicated bumper install heās done.
Like most people, we had complications with the bumper mount brackets. We managed to get the passenger side...
I finally found time this past weekend to install the bull bar, the 5 piece amber grille light kit and ARB rear bumper. The bull bar was straight forward, my problem was having the right tools so it took me longer (no impact wrenchā¦).
The light kit was more a pain (not as bad as the ARB bumper...
That price is what swung it for me.
I'd be interested in seeing what you kind of bracket you fab up. I ordered the bumper but probably won't be able to install it for a few weeks. I wasn't too crazy about the DV8 relo bracket either, but that was the cleanest version I've seen so far.
