yeah that little bump in is a weak point, but it shouldn’t have snapped the weld. If you go out to their webpage, it looks like they’ve changed the design a bit too.

My manual makes noise but goes away after warms up, and have noticed clunkiness through the gears more, but I read that could be just switch for some better fluid?
I got hail damage during a storm last spring. Luckily a PDR expert pulled them all out with no issues, and I have a soft top so no damage there! That sucks though, those are some big dents but I bet PDR could take them out.
Have you thought about just doing a basic roof rack, no quick release points for the soft top using this same concept? I think just some tube steel could get this accomplished if you wanted with a rhino lined coating. Then you can choose to add a roof basket or a rooftop tent to the cross...
