  1. Bronco battery confusion

I just had the same experience on my ā€˜22 base. Picked up an H7 and I was very confused until finding this thread, haha. I bent the retaining plate too, and am contemplating just buying the part sans retaining end + the bigger blanket… because OCD I guess. New batt seemed to do the trick of...
  2. Starlink Mini Setup / Power?

It’s great to see that setup! I’m going for the same on my 2 door. Had to tap the hole for the ball, but luckily it’s the perfect size for an m10x1.5. Currently waiting on my ā€œfreeā€ mini to arrive. I’m not 100% sure I will be able to orient the dishy quite as nicely, but we shall see. planning...
  3. treating plastic headlight covers

I do this too. Just 3M clearBra and rip off and replace when it gets too pockmarked. So far, so good…
  4. So many posts about MIC tops with stress cracks, anyone out there have an older Bronco without cracks?

ā€˜22, 30k mi, no cracks. It lives in a garage so the top doesn’t get tons of sun and weather. it sees wide temperature swings in the winter, sometimes I’ll take it out and the top will go from 60F garage temp to -45F Alaska / Hoth.
  5. Who wants a Bronco refresh?

Oh hey, I actually designed one of these and use it… just never shared with anyone 🤣 if I remember after work I will come back and upload it to Thingiverse and paste a link. edit: link ---- https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7111570 It looks like this: It took a few tries to make something...
  6. Talk Me Off The Ledge.... 😲

For a fun / casual vehicle I think base is a good approach too. I like my 7MT but really only chill with other folks driving it who have owned and casually driven manuals. That’s a personal hang up of mine, but if you can see yourself feeling similar and you plan on sharing a lot, then it seems...
  7. What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

I’m personally not a fan of the frameless windows in my 2 door. They do add to the look and, I suppose, if I had any intentions of removing my doors, no frames might add to convenience. I’m pretty happy with the rest of my base/2dr/7mt after 3 years of ownership. Some of the drawbacks I’ve had...
  8. Red Bandit rescues dog in Tetons and visits Yellowstone. 50k Mile Special Episode.

I appreciate very much that you rescued that greyhound. Not sure what I’d do If mine got out and was lost like that, but it’s my worst nightmare. Awesome going, man! Cheers šŸ»
  9. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Thank you šŸ‘ the illustrations sure make things clear. Makes me want to buy the 3 day license just to see what other good stuff is in there! No idea why I was so far below the line - I squished in two quart bags, then added a decent sized squeeze extra from a 3rd bag to account for the extra...
  10. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Hey @CarbonSteel thanks for posting all this stuff. The thread + reference spreadsheets + vids have been incredibly useful. I’ve got one question, sorry if it’s been asked a dozen times. Search function failed me, or I failed it. I put more than 65oz in the rear diff (non locking). Probably...
  11. Portable Power Station DIY Build -- My Portable Battery System

+1 on waiting for the panel update! I've been thinking of rigging up some sort of DIY solar horror show to my roof rack that would plausibly withstand 70+mph winds without decapitating unwary bystanders. From what I'm seeing here, I feel like @cr117 might rig up something clever. Cool battery...
  12. TPMS Adjustment

Hullo! So I’m did the same thing with the TPMS disable and re-enable. Mine don’t work now either, although it was over a year since I last used the set with TPMS in ā€˜em. Did you ever figure out how to get yours working again? Thanks! Edit: sorry to bug you - I did some light searching and found...
  13. TPMS Not Re-Pairing After Sitting 1.5 Years...

Hi All, sorry if this TPMS question has been answered half a dozen times already and I'm just not savvy enough with the search function.... here goes... Backstory: I own a base and upgraded my wheels / tires some time ago. I think it was the Fall of 2022 the last time I ran with 'em. I...
  14. 7MT Cup Holder Upgrade: Mug Adapter (3D Print)

Thank you! Well, I can say it's at least a fun thing to dabble into - if you end up picking one up, I hope that you and your son have a good time time with it! I've enjoyed trying to find ways to use it as a tool to solve problems, plus it's a great excuse to learn how to use CAD tools. It's...
  15. 7MT Cup Holder Upgrade: Mug Adapter (3D Print)

I'm pretty blown away by it too. It seems like only a few years ago this was very hobbyist and you'd have a laundry list of things to do to get a good print for "enthusiast" level printers. It's amazing how cheap things have gotten, and how much the out-of-the-box experience has changed.
  16. 7MT Cup Holder Upgrade: Mug Adapter (3D Print)

Hell yes 10/10 @Squatch - those are truly majestic.
  17. 7MT Cup Holder Upgrade: Mug Adapter (3D Print)

Hey All, I made a thing and figured I'd share. I wanted to use some of my Yeti mugs in my bronc, but they wouldn't fit in the 7MT cup holders. I got tired of spilling coffee everywhere when they would inevitably fall over, so I designed and printed an adapter. I probably could have gone out and...
  18. how does 2-door Bronco handle high winds?

Mine has generally done fine in high winds. The one exception to that was when I was driving through central WA which has fast highway and very strong consistent wind. Vantage, WA area / wind farm territory… predictably very windy. Doing 70mph with an unknown headwind (30? 40?) it would somehow...
