I skip all extended warranties on everything. Looking at what "might" happen on one specific vehicle is the wrong way to analyze the true cost/value. Add up the cost of ALL extended warranties vs cost of out of warranty repairs on all vehicles over the years and you'll always come out ahead...
Bean counting makes vehicles more affordable and competitive. If not for this the Bronco would cost more. Consumers shop for lowest price/best value. Manufactures are simply supplying what we demand.
Agreed. The more fuel an engine burns per mile the more byproducts, oil dilution, carbon build up, wear, ect. it produces. The extra cost of premium is worth it to me to minimize these things. The exrta MPG covers part of the cost and the increased performance is a bonus.
All newer vehicles are much safer than what us old timers drove. Driver behavior and experience matters more than specific vehicle. I second the defensive driver course idea.
Looks great, do it! That it is uncommon makes it even sweeter. White looks great too, of course, as does silver. Black is really the only failure color with wheels. (yawn)
Actually wages have outpaced inflation since Feb '23. March '25 figures are 4.3% wages vs. 2.4% inflation. This is readily available information.

Sorry to hear you're having these issues, OP. I guess one bright side is this is happening early on when not only the warranty is in effect, but lemon laws are too. Stay on it and document everything. Best of luck.
Excessive idling at start up to "warm it up" is not doing anything good for your engine, it actually causes more wear. If you really want your vehicle to last longer you'll be best to follow manufacture recomendations and start driving gently within the first minute or so. Vehicles warm quicker...
At the end of March I wanted to factory order a 2025 Mercedes CLE 450. Dealer told me any tariffs added would be my responsibility. They cannot lock in a price for a vehicle that is not produced, and no one knows when or how much the tariff will be. I did not order. I can't imagine other...
The fact that 2 doors are becoming less and less common only makes them even more desirable in my world view. Save for a 68 Olds I had as a winter beater for a few months (back in 1978!), ALL my vehicles have been 2 doors, and will continue to be.
Considering you'll likely be keeping it for years the $$$ difference matters little as long as you're not going into debt. It's more important to have the vehicle that best fits your needs and wants.
Thanks for the reply. I understand the proper procedure for checking level is while running and HOT. Has anyone actually tried pulling the plug to see where the level is while off? If in fact fluid does pour out in this situation that would mean it's only possible to fill to proper level while...
Has anyone checked 10 speed trans fluid cold with the engine off?
A: Does it show on the dipstick?
B: Will it start to flow out of the opening when the plug is removed?
If A is the case a cold check would be a good baseline to know, and much easier to do.
Some say the fluids should be changed "to remove factory debris". Never mind that these transmisions and valve bodies are assembled in clean rooms specifically designed for the task at hand... The dirty service department or home garage mechanic will clean it out and somehow not muck it up...
