I was just curious about the battery bc I'm looking for ideas of how to tie mine down. It scares me having a 30lb brick sitting behind our heads offroad.
Do you mean to say that you're powered off the switch when the truck is on, but you can switch over to your portable battery when the truck is off? If so, how did you do that? Mine is powered off the upfitter, but I'm wanting to add that functionality when the truck is off.

Sorry for never following up here. Ultimately, no issues with Roam cases in place. Maybe a 20Mbps drop off, but that could also be the area we were in.

My setup is hardwired in the back of the truck. I have 0 AWG running to a distribution block installed behind the back drivers plastic...
Was just a joke. I wish that was an option. But if you turn the car off with it in "Sport" or "Eco" it will ask if you want to return to that mode right when you crank the car and you just hit the "OK" button -- which is what I do.
