Without a doubt, the best lighting upgrade I have made is interior lighting. While I use the exterior lights rarely, out in the sticks after dark, the interior lights brighten up the cabin every time I open the door. I went with a set of LED strip lights over the door with a built in grab...
No matter what expensive hardware you buy, it never makes up for a lack of skill! Everyone can always learn more. Throw a few bucks into a quality off road school and mod your own abilities. Money well spent.
I am “Old school” when it comes to anti-deer lights. Big, bright and illegal for road use. I am using a pair of Stedi lights (from down under). Aimed at the road edges out at 500 metres. I can see eye-shine out beyond that distance.
As you have covered off all the obvious sources of the vibration, have your installer check the runout (side to side wobble) and dynamic diameter of wheels (can be done on the vehicle, but not as precisely). That could show a bad wheel. A rare problem could be a tire not centred on the wheel...
Nope. The weatherstrip that is attached to the body, up one side, across the top and down the other. Right at the top centre the weather strip dipped down causing water to be funnelled inside the glass.
Mine did this from new, however I found the problem.
The window gasket was rolled down at the top centre which allowed water in. The water flowed down the window, filled up the wiper motor housing and then filled up the thin drip tray that runs along the bottom of the glass. When I...
BMW Motorrad sent me a letter inviting me to a discussion session a few years ago. It was in a fancy corporate office downtown with a half dozen other riders. They fed us a nice dinner, we talked bikes for three hours, designed some advertising for them, and as we walked out the door, they...
I have a set of Rally Armour with the front cut outs for the Badlands. I have used them on three rally cars without issues, so it was an easy choice for the Bronco. Installation was simple with the exception of that one screw on each of the rear flaps up inside the bumper. You need a micro...
I didn’t think that I would ever suggest this, but call Ford Customer Service. I took my 2024 Badlands in for a noisy 7MT. After six weeks of getting every answer under the sun with the transmission out of the Bronco, I called Ford, had an Agent assigned and within two weeks, the Bronco was...
Living where snow is in the forecast five months a year and lots of freezing rain falls from the sky, there is NO substitute for snow/ice tires. Anything but a real, “mountain snowflake” tire is, at best, a compromise.
My wife and I attended the LV location last Fall. It was a blast. My wife co-drove us to six provincial rally championship, so she is very used to me doing silly things in vehicles. She did not do any driving and is talking about doing one of the full day tour events this year.
A few...

I hope you have better luck with your repairs than I did! Details are elsewhere, but the short version is I took the Bronco in for the TSB service after the dealer “had all the parts” at 9000 km. Suddenly the dealer decided they needed more parts which were backordered and the transmission...
I like it but as others have said, the lines and font are too heavy. Thin them out and it would look better.
Unfortunately, at around $400 (CDN) by the time it is hanging on the Bronco (shipping, taxes, tariffs, courier surcharges, exchange, etc) it is very unlikely that I would buy one.
Here in Ontario, front plates are mandatory. Ford has decided the best place for that plate is to ram a couple of sheet metal screws through the plastic trim at odd angles and asymmetrically. Not only does it weaken the trim, but then the plate blocks much of the grill.
When I picked up...
Much to my surprise and joy my Bronco was returned to me on Friday with the transmission overhauled. It was returned on the 51st day of the 2-day job. It was -10 C when I picked it up and no evil sounds. Let’s hope the grinding doesn’t come back. I don’t think I can go through all that again!!!
Seems like a time for an update.
The second week of December I had the Bronco in for the grinding noise when cold. The dealer agreed that it sounded like the conditions found in TSB#2042 and they would order the parts. Just before the holidays, I get a call that all the parts are now ”in”...
Thanks!!!! I am trusting your information way more than what my dealer provides.
The fact that they ordered something that wasn’t available, the “Q” version, doesn’t surprise me a lot. I didn’t mention that in the back and forth between the dealer and “someone”, there was a mention of...
Another day, another version of the story!
This morning I received an email from the Service Manager which included a few inquiries about the part. The first was a response that the part was “in transit” on January 8th. The last was a response that the part was “in transit” to the “packager”...
Here is the latest update:
I talked with the Service Advisor today which is a shame as she freely admits that she knows nothing about cars. Hmmmm. The main point of her call was to complain about the Parts Department getting mad at her for checking on the status of the parts.
So, my...
