I installed hothead in mine a few weeks back, opted for the blue color and definitely got the sound assassin because i did not have any factory headliner or sound deadening.
I have a Gobi rack on my 23 badsquatch so that does not help lessen the wind noise, but for me it makes a notable...
I put my order in. I didn't know there was a factory headliner, but I assume the bronco I picked up didn't have that option when it arrived at the dealer. Since I have a GOBI rack on the bronco, I do have additional noise coming from above the roof so any reduction in noise would be great for me.
SPOD, AuxBeam, several have some good options for adding switch panels that have just a single cable for switch controls and the actual distribution panel elsewhere. There was one that had a bracket that mounts where the Aux switches would go for those that dont have the Aux switches.
I just...
I have had numerous issues as well. I made a drive up to Colorado first week of August with no major issues until the last 2ish hours and then it suddenly starts skipping audio or mid drive completely shuts down and kicks apple carplay out. The entire radio locked up and then it was like it...
Ok... playing with my experimental set up, the permanent solution will require watching and planning for the specific connectors used. I had an issue where NAV went stupid, said it lost GPS and 2 hours later it started working, but then stopped again. The temporary stuff I am using has SMA...
Depending on what year model your bronco is, there may be a TSB for the XM/GPS antenna about it needing to be "re-installed". The XM/GPS antenna is on the upper side of the rear rollbar under the roof.
Ok so far after a couple days with dual separate antennas connected, there have been no issues. I am going to at the moment call my experiment a success and you can connect the 2 separate antennas back together to the 1 rear antenna cable back to the radio.
Going to work on my final and more...
Ok, after some more experimentation, I am at the moment successfully running 2 separate antennas connected to the 1 rear antenna cable. I found one of my mag mount GPS antennas and found a temporary splitter cable and some connectors and got the GPS antenna and XM antenna connected to the...
OK WAIT...
That second link you posted has something that we need... https://infotainment.com/shop/exter...adiator-siriusxm-satellite-radio-antenna-kit/
We need the "multiplexer" part they have there that combines the 2 antennas back down to 1 antenna connection. Now I am very curious if the...
Everything I have looked for and at has not revealed any combo antenna except for this what appears to be custom bronco OEM antenna. Without pulling the dash apart to get to the APIM and unplug the GPS side of the splitter to plug in a dedicated GPS antenna to the APIM, the single cable antenna...
Thats what I was thinking. Mine floats between 14-16 and I do a lot of city driving. Wonder how much help the wind deflector can improve MPG. I mean I know its a bronco and its shaped like an aerodynamic brick lol but if it helps im for it.
I have to think the factory antenna is active because of GPS. Most GPS automotive antennas are active from all my researching for this. I actually question if we can split it at the back by the factory antenna to go back to 2 antennas. They use the splitter behind the radio to share the single...
Yes I can confirm the factory antenna is GPS and SiriusXM. I was expecting it to be dual element with separate cables but it is a single cable connection. Behind the radio there is a splitter that takes the 1 cable and splits it apart for the GPS connection that goes to the APIM and the XM...
I just added Sport Mode onto my Badlands Sasquatch 7MT. It was super easy and I noticed the steering is far better. It also sounds different on the exhaust unless I am hearing things.
I relocated and switched to an exterior SiriusXM antenna, but I am wondering if putting an additional splitter in would allow 2 separate antennas where you can have separate GPS and Sirius
I just had GOBI install my roof rack back first week of August. Drove up to Colorado and they installed it....
How is everyone looking on mpg with GOBI? Anyone done anything to adjust wind noise or make a deflector?
Go look at JCR Offroad. They have upper and lower molle panels for the 2 and 4 door. I have several JCR parts on my bronco and the rear molle panels will be what I do next.
JcrOffroad: Bronco
Im still researching the GPS part of it but so far things are still functioning from everything that I see. I know behind the dash on the radio is a combiner/multiplexer where it breaks the single antenna connection apart into two connections because the radio itself has a GPS antenna connection...
