How could I verify that this recall update was automatically updated on my Bronco?
I have auto-updates turned on, but not sure if this has been updated.
Is there away to check/verify?
I was just looking at the tracks and realized the same - that I could push up a little on the longer track to line things up.
I have thought about taking a flat metal file and trying to "round the corners" on the entry of the slot to help the rubber piece slide in easier.
I have found that...
Mine are so misaligned that I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it from the small track lined up to even enter the back track (pulling from from to back)
I just can't even get it started to enter the back/long track.
are there any tricks?
I have the SmarterHome Hard Top Lifter and it works great for the Hard Top: https://www.smarterhome.com/collections/specialty-lifters-1/products/hard-top-lifter-bronco
I have Dual Tops: Hard top and Soft top.
So I wanted to dual purpose the lifter to hold the Soft top up and out of the way...
Cool. I was using those, but the only way I figured out was to run them "around" the tire with the weight of the wreath at the top....but then you see the UGLY bungee across the top of the tire.
I loved the look of yours since you see no bungee at the top.
Trying to visualize this - are you...
I'm looking to do this. Looks like your wreath is one that is on a metal frame.
Have you found any tricks/how are you attaching this to the tire/wheel?
It's coming up to the time for me to do this. Curious - how did you actually attach the wreath to the spare? It seems like you just ran a large white zip tie around the entire tire/wheel and the metal frame of the wreath at the top?
I'd love to see the before and afters on this!
My biggest complaint with the Bronco is the cheap interior plastic. I am very careful/particular on my cars.
My Toyota Tundra had ZERO scuff marks after driving it for 10 years.
My Bronco had scuff marks in a matter of days. :(
Especially in...
I think I have a design worked up with some pipe from Home Depot and 90 degree elbows
I'll attach the pictures which will give you an idea (keep in mind the soft top is upside down).
The idea is:
* 1/2" galvanized pipe with 90 degree elbows
* build basically a "sled" that will go under the...
Meross smart garage opener w/ HomeKit (off amazon) and CarPlay - works amazing.
I turn into my neighborhood and the interface of CarPlay presents an option to open the garage door in the bottom right corner and I just tap it.
It also has the added benefit of knowing open vs closed status so...
1. Only Dual Tops and Soft tops come with hardware for soft tops
2. Parts can be ordered for Ford - but the plastic pieces at the outside corners of the tailgate that the soft top clips into are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Like $850 just for those parts. Mountain2Metal makes a machined part that is...
I am working on the exact same thing!
Have the SmarterHome Lift for my Hardtop and want to rig it up to do my Soft Top for the winter!
we should compare notes! 😂
I saw a video where the guy recommended to pop the softtop up (rear window on the kickstand), connect the two side windows and then lower the back as a tip since the side windows are difficult to get in the channels.
