Man, that’s terrible…. Looks exactly like every aftermarket part I’ve ever put on a vehicle in my life. I stopped a long time ago. I’ll only put parts from the OEM on my vehicle now. Yes, it’s limiting, but I’ve never had anything rust from Ford Accessories, Mopar, etc…
The only thing I don’t like is the painted flares…. Is that the only way Shelter Green comes? It just has that “Sahara” vibe to it… But overall, great!
I agree about the latter part.
I’m not sure that my vehicle, which was built correctly other than just 1 emblem, was considered a mis-build over that. Technically, it is, but man, that’s harsh if that’s how it’s classified. 🤣
I’ve had a car receive the wrong badge before, from Ford actually. It’s just an accident on the assembly line is all. A human puts the badge on.
I hope the owner doesn’t make a Federal case out of it.
I like your idea of his phone being hacked—that is something to consider. However, I don’t think that’s all the hacker would do—start the car and that’s it—and the OP isn’t mentioning anything else related to a hack.
If Ford was hacked, there’d be more cases.
I believe the vehicle started, but I’m calling BS on “it started by itself”. That didn’t happen. He, or a family member, did something. Period.
Yes. I’m happy I got it before they stopped the color. Otherwise, I’d be attempting to get an Eruption Green or your color. I love loud colors mostly—I hope Ford gets a little more adventurous in this regard.
Dude, that’s a dream scenario right there. You’re so lucky to get allocated a 2-dr in that color, especially considering you can’t order the vehicle AND the dealership gets allocated whatever Ford gives it. Good for you!
I’m not buying this story. I agree with others: It’s BS. If it did start, it’s because someone did something, somewhere (phone, key fob).
I support your right to share anything you wish, unlike others who are interested in suppressing your rights… And I say this because it’s then incumbent...
