Smoked the height sign at a parking garage when I had the soft top folded back. Now there's a yellow paint smudge on the latches. Felt like a giant dumbass.
AGS has a setup too. I went that route because I wanted the dual ARB compressor behind the spare. Not sure how much "extra" reinforcement it gives me though.
Strong magnet with a towel in between (so you don't scratch the paint.), strong vacuum (tape other openings), or air compressor to "push" it where you want it, then a collapsible magnet pen deal to get it out. Couple quick ideas.
I wouldn't worry about the mileage. After waiting about 3 years, I had about 225 on mine when I finally got it. Had some stuff added at the dealership, which probably added a few miles. Was pissed for about 2 minutes until I got in the driver seat. Then didn't give a shit anymore.
Anyone ever try one of those airbag ones? If you have onboard air, I would figure that is the way to go. Probably gonna go that route if they are worth a shit.
That is similar to the setup I would like to do, except I want to add the 4" ontop of the 2 6" and a flip & slide. Only problem is finding the $4k to get all of it.
