I love my 2-dr 2.7 "Wildlands" and am very happy with overall 17.2 mpg, the performance especially in Sport mode. Though offroad in the mountains, I am sure the 2.3 would work acceptable with Sasquatch gearing.
Ford may be following Jeep with limited 2 dr Rubicon offerings, but come on...
I built a top lift, can take off the hard top by myself. Also install the soft top by myself and after the second year, it is not entirely fun but not a huge effort except for removing the Ford/Tuffy rear enclosure for side panel access. Am 73...
The Ford/Bestop quality is good and easy to...
We noticed this high-rev a few times while descending steeper grades and manually downshifting the 10-speed to a lower gear to reduce speed. We do not use GOAT modes much so probably in 4L. First time quite a surprise... After happening a few more times I racked it up to a computer...
I have been happy with the Ford covers. They were easy to install and look and work well with the RCI frame mount rock sliders--which also work very well with big rocks...
I installed my top without help (I am 70+ years old). Was not easy bringing the top sub-assembly up to the halo bar, but moving blankets kept me from scratching stuff.
The biggest issue--and it was a BIGGEE--the upper rear window mounts were incorrectly identified from the factory. I...
The Ford struts were my first Mod, should have been factory installed. A benefit is the hood opens further than the prop rod location. The mounting is engineered into the car--I have no concerns with stress on the hood.
Sold my 05 LJ Rubicon--a super off-road rock climber--for a Bronco Wildtrac. The Rubi had 17k easy miles on it when purchased. It had TERRIBLE death wobble. Lots of mods to improve but it still wobbled crossing diagonal train track. Yesterday a group of 6G Bronco owners did Red Elephant...
I added the Ford Stabilizer Bar Disconnect and also was worried about continuous use-solenoids heating up. Thus, I have only switched on when needing articulation. Reading through the thread, and looking at the detailed post attached, I started thinking that when articulation is needed the...
Those look great. Dittos on what brand as I would like to install 8 lug 17's on my 72 F250. Sure would be easier to clean than my standard SAS/Wildtrak wheels.
Very happy with 23 WIldtrak with only 2350 miles. Typically trailered for use for trail rides/rock climbing, but occasional drives to front range trails and some around town while home. Bought the 10-year extended warranty primarily for turbos and electronics--but have had no issues with...
I used the ADD, the reinforcement would not fit as designed. Had to cut and bevel the bottom to fit within the frame. Cutting the factory nut plate was not a big issue, but was a bit tenuous to torque.
Would not use them again.
Lots of choices available and I suspect all work better off road than no disconnects.
First mod on our Wildtrak was Private Label Manufacturing manual disconnects. After about 300 miles, they were noisy and difficult to disconnect.
In my opinion, I then installed the best of both worlds: stock...
$850 here in Tax-a-Rado for renewal on our 23 Wildtrak 2dr, though $29 of that is an optional parks pass.
Along with about 10 other add-on fees, they charge $0.23 fee for the sticker, a $4 fee to hire DMV clerks for collecting the $$$, but police fee is less than a buck. Wife's 24 Aviator was...
RCI sliders made in Colorado. Frame mounted, you may lift the Bronco with them--they are stout. As a previous user mentioned, the kick out before the rear tire is nice. The angled UP option better for rocks, but we went with the zero degree for a step.
Had Safelite do my windshield, recalibration on the replacement Ford windshield was included--they installed at my home shop. I rode along with the tech who plugged a specialized tablet into the port. My area is hilly, and it did not calibrate as quickly as usual according to the tech. Once we...
Thanks to Ducati for his expertise, information and patience with all the questions. Also, I appreciate Brian_B's comments.
Funny, this new cluster is very similar to the cluster in the wife's '24 Aviator--I always thought Ford should have done it in the Bronco.
The lack of numerals, ie...
