Look at the @ORACLE Lighting back-lit lights - they also offer a neat startup sequencer. There were very few options when I got mine. They install individually and do not interfere with the Camera.

I've seen where others have utilized the available Dash mount to put a GoPro style camera and record the entire day's events. You can also windshield mount something. They encourage picture taking. Here's the wife:
Yeah, I can imagine that you'd be hauled in at fault because you DARED to have a weapon in some places. (Or if the other one claimed you used a racial slur - but that can just as easily be fatal).
Ask anyone who has been and they will (almost universally) say it was worth it. It's a tough pill to swallow, but you will get to do SO much more than you probably will ever experience IRL.
There will inevitably be gaps - think hinges and door sills. You want those to disappear into shadow. A darker color makes the shadows better. Any light or bright color will be a highlight at those gaps.
How else can you check Email/Facebook/Instagram/your eBay bid status/etc. at the light while the rest of us pay attention to what we're supposed to be doing - Operating a 5000 pound complex mechanical nightmare in traffic with others using their freaking phones.
You get better as you do this more. I have to back in the Challenger (no back-up camera) and keep from bumping the Harley in the process (not always successfully). Just try to go straight in and out. If you're making (even small) adjustments, you need to pull out and start over.

I went with Nilights on the A-Pillar. I figured for how often I'd use them, I could replace them several times over rather than going with some of the more expensive options.
