Ford, once an icon of American innovation, now wants to take the lead...
I have the hothead headliners on my Bronco. The one plus is they mask all of the sounds of the top flexing as you drive. It's slightly quieter, but as others have said, at freeway speeds nothing short of a full sound deadening job will help.
I can see these becoming the new mini sport trucks that were popular back in the day. A cheap blank canvas to customize. Question is, how long will it take to charge it? For only 150 miles, it shouldn't take that long and should work on 110/120v.
Rule #1 with car purchases as far as I'm concerned, KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). I love my Bronco to death but there is no way in hell I would pay what they want for them now. (even a base 2-dr/7-spd like mine.)
I have these and similar long-stemmed ones. Funny thing is, the long stemmed ones faded to the point that they nearly match my bronze wheels. Never had a problem removing either set from the valve stems, even in direct SoCal summer sun.
Love mine as well, dresses up the interior and does reduce noise from the top. Curious how it will work with the TopLift Pro I bought but have to assemble.
I use the magic box 2.0 in my Bronco. It offers both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It's a cool little box, you can stream just about anything on it (as long as the Google Play Store has an app) I use VLC for general streaming, both over the air and via the SD Card I have attached to it...
I'm at 2.5 yrs and 39K miles. I absolutely love driving it, but am slowing down due to racking up the miles, lol!. I tend to keep my cars a long time (9yrs. avg.) so I want to make sure the smiles last a very long time, warts and all.
Just over 2 years and at 39K miles. Still love it to death with no regrets, warts and all! Luckily no major mechanical issues (just jinxed myself). I tend to keep my vehicles for a very long time, getting my money's worth.
