I replaced my stock plugs with these and there was definitely a noticeable improvement when I did. Bronco sounded a little different at idle, and was more responsive to throttle input. Replaced stock plugs at the interval specified in the manual.
I have the single brushless compressor set up in my engine bay and haven't experienced the fan coming on to cool off the compressor, with engine running or engine off.
Wow this is all amazing info and definitely boosts my confidence for doing it myself!
I'm regearing to 4.70 and upgrading the front to M210, I am hoping to have a shop just regear the rear and then save on labour with doing the front myself. Will be wrestling with it on the ground with jack...
Question for those of you that have swapped or put in an M210 FDU, how much of a PITA is it getting the M210 in? Is removing the steering rack necessary or can it be done with leaving it in?
I've got a new FP M210 to replace my M190 with, and gauging whether or not I can do it myself or just...
Sounds like mine, working as intended!
It's definitely more of a notchy feel when going through the gears, almost like a gated shifter feeling. The stiffness will loosen up a bit as you use it more.
Yes, pics or it didn't happen. This is the only shot I have of it currently, minor but still damage. And still rocking it too, too small to repair at all and I wear my trail scars with pride on my bronco.
This was back in September when a group of friends and I attempted the Alexander MacKenzie...
Some older guy pulled up to the gas station one day, saw my bronco, and said something along the lines of:
"Hell yeah brother, I had a '69 bronco growing up! Glad to see you're actually using yours!".
My bronco was covered in mud, is pin striped to shit down the sides, and has a dent in the...
Thanks for the write up and the pointers! I just purchased the single brushless and KR mount bracket today, looking forward to getting it installed once it arrives!
The instructions I found were pretty good, the main headaches for me were removing all the trim and plastics.
Take your time, there are a few small bits that could easily be lost if dropped (pin spring if I recall?).
The sportshifter was hands down the best mod I've done to my 7mt bronco!
I ended up breaking my clips too, I was able to put them back in though and then just threw zip ties around them to make sure they didn't come out. Haven't had any issues!
Two of my favourites from this year!
First one is on the south shore of Seton Lake, found this beach on a random side quest coming home from somewhere else.
The second one is up Reno Mountain. First time really wheelin' the bronco and driving right up into alpine, where we are parked on the...
Thanks for all the info you've provided in this thread @CarbonSteel ! Based on everything in here I've decided to replace my diff oils with Caterpillar 75W-140 gear oil as I can get that through my work.
Definitely not concerned with any MPG loss, if any, and I figure with all the off roading I...
While I have never gotten mine to go past 4 bars, I've definitely gotten mine to lose bars when coasting/engine braking down hills for extended periods in the winter. Sometime all the way from 4 down to 1 when it was really cold out.
Method 705 in matte black wrapped with stock 32" Grabber ATXs.
Will be upgrading to 33" tires once I wear these out. Also rocking some Bilstein 5100s set at 1" front and rear.
