OKAY good news.. I fixed it. A T-10 bit to pull out single long center screw and unplug harness. I could see the the pivot had angled too far the those plastic outer tabs were obstructing the inner 'ball' from moving... gently pulled those out a bit to pivot that entire 'ball' back into...
