They did warranty it and replace it. They also replaced my top under warranty although they said they had to fight for me. I have a good relationship with my dealer. I also have the extended warranty although I'm still under the original.

No I never had a looked at because it's so infrequent. I think in the two and a half years that I've had the truck it's only happened maybe three or four times..

My issue eventually became more infrequent. It rarely happens now. I didn't do anything different it just became less of an issue over time.

I still take the doors off whenever I can. I just don't ever have a need to store them in the back. I got an old pallet with some padding on it and I put it on the side of my garage. That's where I store the doors when I take them off. I've never run into a situation where I've been on vacation...

Honestly these are one of those things that I think if I had actually purchased them I probably would have used once or twice. I'm actually curious how many people who bought them have actually used them often.

I brought mine by Ford on Monday, the service manager looked at it and said no problem he'll have it covered under warranty. My window is pristine except for the crack. He acknowledged there was no exterior damage that would have caused the crack. Jim

No I gave up when I saw that ridiculous price for the strap. I built a storage drawer and box in the back so it's not an option for me anymore anyway. Honestly I found out I don't really need it. Haven't had a situation where I would have used them. Jim

I live in NJ. They're already replacing the top wherever that comes in. They were only replacing the top so I don't know why the sides wouldn't be available separately? They have their own part numbers. I'll see this week.

I just lifted the back and the tear is right where the window folds. It's definitely from operation and not from something hitting it
