This is an excellent point as well. If that’s the case, it’s a non issue.

I reached out to Goose Gear asking that exact question and they intend on making a rear seat delete for the 2 door. I can’t wait! Below is the response I got:

I am by no means an expert on corrosion or anything. It’s certainly possible, but who knows how ford prepped the surface between them? Maybe a gasket of some kind?

No idea if it’ll be an issue on the Bronco tailgate hinges or not. I guess time will tell. In general though, they’ve been using a lot of aluminum on the f-150 for a bunch of years now (2015?) with millions of them in the world and it doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue with them.

Ford seems to do pretty well with using aluminum and not running into too many issues. The bubbling occurs due to “galvanic corrosion” when the aluminum contacts another (non aluminum) metallic surface. It’s something that comes up with the JL at the hinge points. For some further...

Nice kit and beautiful Bronco! I'll be hopefully making mine work in the 2dr. I'm thinking with the smaller 14x20 bass drum and flat base stands should work just fine. I guess as I get older (and a bit more lazy) the gigging kit gets smaller and smaller.

That’s exactly my hope as well… basically like they have for the JK and JL. Perhaps with some extra storage compartments where the seat bottoms were.

When I called late last week my build week was still 07/05. I just called and it was moved to 07/12 build week.

I also think it depends on the vehicle. I do love Miami Blue on Porsche and Audi's Nardo Gray.

I just got the same email. After 8pm EST on a Saturday night, Ford burning the midnight oil. I guess I can't complain since I'm fortunate enough to have a VIN and it's only a 2 week delay at this point.
