The only thing I would add to this is: the 2.7 is port and direct injected the 2.3 is direct injection only. For me that is important and why I’m going with the 2.7

I would say that despite the relatively high compression ratio, that something with their direct injection they prevent pre-detonation that the premium fuel is required for.
I owed a Range Rover sport that I traded in for my Expedition, which I love BTW. With Range Rover you can absolutely get anything you want, more than the brochure list, but believe-you me you’ll pay for it. And no I doubt anyone would buy a Range Rover long wheel base and ask for a manual haha
COST. Everything comes down to cost. You want a fully customized vehicle and get everything you want then what you need is.. a Range Rover. And then you’re gonna pay 100 grand. Packages simplifies and lowers cost. Ford could 100% do a la cart... and then you’d complain how much it cost.
There’s no way a base with Quatch cost badlands. However you would get more for your money on a badlands therefore negating the difference. I know not everyone can get EXACTLY what they want in their budget, but I am personally very very impressed with the level of upgrades available on lower trims
Well that’s if you upgrade to the quatch’. What I’m saying is badlands with the base motor and no quatch package will be manual minus very few things that the quatch’ offers
