There is a lot of misinformation here. Ford engineers have clearly stated (and there's many threads here covering it) that the ONLY difference in the suspension is 10mm up travel limiters on the Sasquatch package so the 35s don't rub. The BL trim therefore has the most travel by only 10mm and an...
I'll start my build thread way (5-8 months) too early.
Planned bronco order as of 9/20:
Badlands
2.3L t
7mt
2 door
Cactus grey or white
Wash out interior
Mid package
Premium sound (if available to add to the mid)
*maybe* Sasquatch package
If not the squatch, I'll grab 35s from the dealer and...
I keep changing my mind, but I'm pretty set on the BL, maybe with the squatch wheels and tires. Good chance I'll jump up to 37s if they offer a small lift from the factory or as a dealer installed accessory. BL is the only trim (besides FE) with sway bar disconnect. Huge selling point for me...
the "lift" is from the bilsten struts. so unless you can get those without the squatch package, then no. badlands is the only way to get that lift without the package.
all depends on setup, but generally 35 and down for daily. true 37s and up are in a different class. I run true measuring 37" black label (really sticky) patagonias on my 17 zr2 and I dont daily it anymore. the new silverado is staying bone stock on 31" highway tires. The bronco will be getting...
The only difference between badlands and squatch is a 10mm Up travel limiting spacer on the bump stops. Everyone is using 33vs 35 for the height comparison. Don’t. A 285/70r17 will measure ~32 at best, and even less with weight on it. Most 315/70r17s measure ~34.5 or so. We’ve had ford tell us...
I’ll probably do it with 37s. Let’s not compare to the pre production unit though. Attentive people will have noticed it’s on the current overseas ranger raptor platform. I wouldn’t base any speculation off that setup. Hopefully they release an actual production chassis with the lift for us to see.
In this case, I’d say absolutely not. More or less saying the suspension is identical to the badlands besides the bump travel 1cm limiter. No ride height gain or loss.
From the Q&A with Ford...10mm bump spacer is the only difference on the wildtrak/launch/squatch vs the badlands. The sway disconnect as well obviously. No ride height difference vs Sasquatch if you were to add 35s to the badlands.
Harbor Springs/Petoskey area here. getting rid of my heavily modded 17 ZR2 in the next month or so and will be ordering a 2d badlands 2.3L 7mt in white or cactus. I hit drummond island 3-5+ times each year but this will be a secondary weekend vehicle for me. probably will fall into the ZR2s...
