  1. Keyless Coded Entry

I bought my Bronco used from a non-Ford dealer, and they didn't have the master code for the keypad. I took it to two different Ford dealers, who either told me to buy a new keypad, or they could spend some time trying to recover the code for $400. The codes listed on the BCU did not work with...
  2. Antenna selection help needed

I've been using one of these Browning dual-band antennas for almost 10 years now, and haven't had any complaints. First installed on a '94 Bronco, and eventually it migrated its way to my '21. Looks like they've updated the design a bit, adding a spring to the base, but until mine starts to fail...
  3. Stick on vents

Old thread, I know… but I found this while searching for something else. Reminds me of a Bronco I found at a Pick 'n' Pull years ago when I had my '94. I can only find one photo of it, but that thing was covered in tribal flame stickers, pinstripe stickers, and had more than a dozen of those...
  4. Badlands Sasquatch has terrible MPG

I just did a similar trip - from SLC to Mesquite, NV, about 40 miles past St. George. I averaged almost 21 MPG in my Badlands Sasquatch, with 3 people and luggage. In my case, I just set the adaptive cruise to 70, stayed in the right lane, and enjoyed the ride. Had a slight headwind on the way...
  5. Scale modeling ???

    Progress…
  6. Dealer wants $350 to program 2 key fobs

$350 for two sounds like a deal to me. Though, I bought my Bronco used, and it only came with one fob and I wanted a spare. I found a locksmith in one of the local FB groups that charged me $300 for one fob, key cutting, and the programming. I did that though because my dealers wanted $400 for...
  7. Custom Illuminated Aux Switches - DIY

Those look fantastic - nice work! Now I just need to wire up more than one switch to justify tackling this myself.
  8. Scale modeling ???

Built a few kits when I was a kid, then got back into things again a few years ago. My wife calls it one of my "old man hobbies". Honestly a pretty relaxing way to wind down after work sometimes. I built the '66 a few years back, and I'm now working on a 3rd gen. That one I'm trying to detail...
  9. 3D Printed Parts for Parking Sensors with a Rough Country winch mount

Yeesh… I just realized that I forgot to post a link to where you can download the STL files. doh. https://mcfate.gumroad.com/l/sensorcovers …very briefly thought about that, but it's such a niche thing, that I'm not sure it's really worth it. That said, if you do feel like paying for them...
  10. 3D Printed Parts for Parking Sensors with a Rough Country winch mount

Thanks - it’s kinda hard to see in the photo, but the file does have drain holes, so there’s no need to drill after printing.
  11. 3D Printed Parts for Parking Sensors with a Rough Country winch mount

When I was installing my Badlands Apex winch on my Rough Country high winch mount, I found that there just wasn't enough room to install the parking sensors according to RC's instructions. Their kit is based (obviously) around you also installing a Rough Country winch. After doing some tinkering...
  12. My First Trails @ Sand Hollow - 4x4 Jamboree

Looks like a great time! I’m headed that way next weekend for some family stuff. Hoping to find some time to sneak away and play for a bit on some trails. Just curious - where did you get your Utah state dune flag? I need a new flag and our new state one is a good look.
  13. Tons of noise in cold weather

I've been hearing a whistle too lately, and it's been consistently in the 20's around here. However, I also just installed some new ditch lights, and assumed the wind noise was due to the lighting. It still might be - I'll just have to wait for the weather to change. At the end of the day...
  14. JBKO

    Utah Bronco Owners Unite!

TrailsOffroad is another good resource for finding trails. OnX is fun for researching trails, and finding new ones, where TrailsOffroad works well for getting a sort of preview of the trail. TO provides tons of photos and descriptions, and only lists things that they have actually driven...
  15. Heretic studios Ditch lights install

Your battery should have four positive terminals available, and only two of them are used from the factory. However, the other two posts don't have any nuts on them, so you'd need to get a nut that fits if you want to use those posts. (I don't remember what size you need though. There are some...
  16. Heretic studios Ditch lights install

Yeah - I noticed that too when I first looked at the diagram. It's labeled as being used for wiring the fog lights using the ditch light harness. In the end, I decided there was no harm in keeping the relay, so I just went with it.
  17. Heretic studios Ditch lights install

    yup.
  18. Heretic studios Ditch lights install

I just installed this same set yesterday. Follow the paper instructions. They are different from the video, but the paper tells you exactly what to do. After you cut the line of the harness that runs to the switch that Heretic includes, you'll only connect the blue wire to the wire for the aux...
  19. No Ragrets- which mod do you wish you hadn’t?

I don't hear anything from mine - it's been pretty solid so far. I don't have anything mounted to it though, so I don't know if the rattling would happen once there's more weight on it. But I use the thing all the time. Prepping lunch on the trail, or just having a work area when getting stuff...
  20. Mobile Ham Radio Install - Yaesu FTM-300

Finally got around to installing my FT-8800 a few weeks back, and figured I should share the install as well. To mount the radio, I used an old winch plate that's been lying around on my workbench for years. It's definitely overkill for mounting a radio, but it turned out to be the perfect size...
