I've been waving to the same guy on the way to work, every day, for almost 2 years. (similar Bronco) I've all but stopped with any others now. Early on it was rare to see another on the road and was just a reaction. I see at least 5 a day now, so it lost its kitschness. I'll still wave back...
I forgot I have their grab handles as well. The first shipment was an empty package. I contacted support and there was some degree of disbelief, but they did send out replacements. One started unraveling within a couple months and all have faded badly. Not the best experiences with quality.
Mine began rusting within 3 months of installing and it was summer, so no salt during that period. IAG support did state they had an issue in the production chain with several batches.
I also had this issue. I contacted IAG and sent pictures. Their support response was excellent. They sent a prepaid RMA label for the bad set. I had a new pair at my door within 3 days. I have not installed the new set yet, so I can't speak to the quality of the replacement.
Are the latches 3D printed? They look kinda cheap and or not finished well. Maybe they are different in person? I would expect high quality, molded parts for the price. Other than that, the headliner and outside look great.
Got mine today. I haven't had a Hotwheels since I was like 9 years old, but here we are. I just noticed this has silver beadlock rings... Don't WildTraks have black rings?? Fail.
I tried taking mine off with a standard ratchet and couldn't break a single one loose. I was planning on trying again with an impact, but glad I read this thread. I'll just tape and paint these ugly ass rings on the wheel or buy new rims.
I had no idea this was even a thing. I have a Jetta TDI with 285k miles and no turbo issues. I barely spool my turbo and get 20MPG on a 2.7 Bronco. It seems like people are driving their Broncos like they stole it. (get off my lawn)
I know this is a federal law for manufacturers to have on vehicles. I assume it is illegal to remove? Maybe that depends on your state. I'm no expert, but you may have some run-ins with Johnny law.
UPDATE: Just re-read your post and you stated this is for off-road only. Never mind!
I looked more into this, being that the price was so low. This seems a bit scammy. Everything on the site is $70-90$, including a Husqvarna lawnmower that is about $400 normally. I would definitely be cautious.
Anybody go to the Super Celebration in the Dells a few weeks back? I haven't seen any pictures from the event on here. I had planned on going, but life happened...
