  1. Base Bronco 2-Door Iconic Silver spotted in Wixom, MI

Right? That's exactly what I'm looking for. Basically a more modern version of my (not any longer) 1986 Isuzu Trooper 4wd (2 door, only it was LWB compared to Bronco, 4 cylinder, manual transmission). I think the base is more than capable enough for me.
  2. Base Bronco 2-Door Iconic Silver spotted in Wixom, MI

OP: thanks for posting! Loving the steelies. Mine will get all terrain tires on the steel wheels probably immediately. I'll just sell or give the all-seasons to someone with a older 2wd Explorer or something with 16" wheels. I wish I could just add the all-terrain tires at the factory, but...
  3. Bronco Rollovers - Sports Bar or Roll Cage

Stop making sense. You're absolutely ruining this pointless rant! Sheesh.
  4. Built my Bronco.

Thanks man! It's been a joy putting this old truck back into service. Even though I'm the 3rd or 4th legal owner, NOBODY drove this truck. I feel like I'm its first "real" owner. I drive it, I've hauled and towed with it, and our lives together have just begun lol! Here is my current fleet...
  5. Built my Bronco.

Thanks, and yeah, I tend to go off a bit on the subject of vehicles, especially the ones I'm passionate about! Bronco obviously included! Haha Don't mind my rambling, I'm not offended if it's a "TL: DR"for some, lol.
  6. Built my Bronco.

I like your story as well, and yeah, a 4 door would be better if I had a family of my own. However, it looks as though I will probably be getting married sooner or later, and with that comes three awesome step daughters that I already dearly love. So, maybe one day, we can look back and see...
  7. Built my Bronco.

Yess, exactly! My cousins have a camp on the river, but God did not intend for me to swim, so only get in the fishing boat with a lifejacket. (I took two years of lessons to no avail, and I had a near-death drowning experience as a kid, so that's why I feel that I ought to be cautious around...
  8. Built my Bronco.

Yess! AM blue was a top contender for me. My parents had a new 1990 Ford Aerostar in a super dark blue that looked almost black. It was not as beautiful as AM blue, but it certainly reminds me of it. (I found a 1991 Ford Aerostar with a factory manual transmission the other day, same color ours...
  9. Built my Bronco.

Thanks! And probably so, but I'm betting that 4 door automatic Big Bend models will be the more popular fleet choice. I highly doubt that they'll have a manual two door. I intend to order the Bronco I want. If it take 5 years before I can, that's fine. I got three Fords and a Chevy pickup to...
  10. Built my Bronco.

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement. I really appreciate it! Edit: I tried to multi-quote everyone who had something similar to say, but I must've gotten it wrong. Oh well, thanks again guys/gals(?)!
  11. Built my Bronco.

I'm on the opposite side of the Mississippi river. In fact, the 40 acres we are looking at is about half of a mile from the Alabama border. During the hurricane, we got relatively light damage with no flooding.
  12. Built my Bronco.

That's why I left that in the post, I didnt intended to "come out" or go off on an unrelated subject, but it was fine after I wrote it, and I hoped some of y'all would get the humor in it. We certainly do! And yeah, we're heathens, just like unmarried straight couples and pot smokers. I'm okay...
  13. Built my Bronco.

First, let me be clear: from the day that the UAW spilled the beans like a clumsy chef, I've been hoping, wishing and praying for a base model, two doors, three pedals. I got all of that, and I am VERY grateful for that! Thanks Ford! On with my build. There's a few upgrades I wanted on my base...
  14. V6 orientation - straight or transverse

I love the Inline six in my 1974 Chevy C10, but the V-6 (3.0L) in my 1995 Taurus is just as easy to work on. Yes, its mounted sideways as it is front wheel drive. That is but one example of a decent V-6, even transversely mounted, that is relatively easy to work on. Many, many are most...
  15. 2.3L Engine Ranger Test Drive Experience Review & Videos

Yes! It is supposed to be an off-road capable sport utility (a true sport utility), not a replacement for someone's Mustang GT in terms of on-road performance. It damn sure doesn't need to be a dog, like my old 2 door Isuzu Trooper 4 cylinder was, but like my SVT Focus, the purpose of the...
  16. 2.3L Engine Ranger Test Drive Experience Review & Videos

Yeah, I think for this vehicle's purpose, the 2.3L will be able to serve all but perhaps the power-hungry. I must admit, if I was going 4 door/squatch, the 2.7L might be on the table. But, since it was announced a few years ago with the UAW spilling the beans, I have hoped and prayed for a...
  17. Why not the Everest as Bronco Sport?

And it very much is intended to fill that role, only with more ruggedness and less trying to be everything to everyone.
  18. Why not the Everest as Bronco Sport?

I personally think it could sell here as Expedition Sport, I believe the market would accept it as just a smaller and trimmer version of the Expedition (yes, I am aware that the two are mechanically unrelated, I'm talking about market perception). A more truck-like alternative to Explorer for...
  19. Theory: The Two Reveal Broncos Were Meant To Be Concept Vehicles

Um, they do that in order to keep the price down for people like me, who want a basic, affordable and competent SUV. There are a lot of standard features that are not standard on the Wrangler. Of course the good stuff is saved for more expensive trims. Otherwise every Bronco would be a...
