I recently had the same situation. It seems dangerous, but I’m not sure where to start with raising the issue with Ford etc? You should be able to wear boots when driving a truck…
After 2 months needed to put top back on. Took about 30 min lowering each corner an inch or so at a time. Thumb screws would have saved time (instead of oem torx bolts). No issues with cam straps.
Looks like someone parked too close at 4th of July pary :-(. The jerk also scratched front edge of my (plastic) bumper. Glad these aren't painted.
Would you lightly sand w/ steel wool? Better to just try to buy a new/used one?
I saw no flexing at all, and this it was super easy to construct and lift. Lowering it will take a second set of hands to be safe (but haven't done yet)...Lower so pins are near holes. Release straps then shift into holes.
I hoisted it by going around to each strap and raising it a bit at a...
Project took about an hour and cost me maybe $30 in materials. Ive seen some attach a 2x4 board to the rear straps then rest the hardtop on the board, But is there a reason NOT not just hook the top from the bottom with the hooks attached to the cam straps (like I did)?I did not find any FMC...
My only issue with my 23 BB MT 2D is that, since taking delivery mid December, modem has lost connectivity 4x. Each time it has fixed itself with a subsequent update. With the powerup update around March 27, I had remote status back for about a day (remote lock, location, tpms, etc). But as of...
There is an advantage to keeping bikes as high above the road if possible (road spray doesn’t hit) if you go fat biking or transport bikes in rain. I didn’t realize this until I got the bronco (after having a crosstrek and Audi wagon before)…bikes stay a lot more clean on the bronco.
I've owned my Bronco for 3 months and it's modem stopped working 3 times already. Is this the system-wide problem or specific to certain vehicles? Quite annoying
I have a bike on my car about once a week. A better rack like the 1up is easy to attach & remove (no wrestling), and tray bike mount (s) are far more stable than less expensive solutions. Kuat or 1up both excellent. I only have the rack mounted days I'm transporting a bike (s). If your use...
The receiver sticks out about 3/4 of the width of the spare tire (BB OEM). It sticks out far less than the spare. It’s actually useful to rest foot when changing shoes…
I’m only 2500 in, but my worst tank was 90% city driving; calculated 20.5 mpg. My best is 23.8.. I’m getting over 27 mpg in expressway driving 60-70mph. Would be interested in comparing notes with others driving road oriented builds with MT. This reflects my normal driving / routes.
