    I have the same setup and it is definitely too short. I just used a piece of 1/8" aluminum 4 holes and a slight bend.

    Mine started last week around 2k miles. I put a square of clear 3m wrap that I used on the sills over and inside the pin holes. Seems to have solved it for now.

    remove the sill first, then work you way back. There are 2 bolts in the dead pedal on the driver side under the pad.
