I was on the pre-order for the mount and installed it along with the ARB twin as soon as I received it. I keep the spare tire covered if I'm not using the compressor so I guess that keeps some of the dirt and dust from accumulating around the unit and the design of the spare tire mount already...

Best option I found that works with the factory rock sliders are the IAG Full Length EZ-Steps. They are easy to install, are quite solid, and seem pretty durable. They also come off easily if you don't want to scratch them rock crawling - clips on the slider and only uses 2 set bolts per side...
