Thanks to Trigger I spent the week-end putting my platform together. I had to go taller to fit my sub-woofer. I also added a block at each top corner for a little more stability. It came out pretty good, will certainly provide more storage and easily collapsed to give the extra seating.
IAG I-Line TPE Door Sill Protectors. Mine are on a 2 door but they have the same style for the 4 Door. Installation was a breeze and they seem to be a quality product. I'm very satisfied.
I did just about the same thing you did, same reference speakers with bass blockers front and rear. I went with a powered JL subwoofer with two 8" speakers. The sub is wired through the front kick panel speakers for the feed. I didn't want to mess with anything in the head unit. No issues...
Agree 100% Just put Tux Mats in my Bronco and they are by far the best mats I've owned. I have Weather Tech in my Expedition and there's no comparison. Tux covers more area. Love the material and look. Cost more but well worth it.
I'm opting to drive my bronco as little as possible in the Michigan winter. I do keep all my vehicles in a heated shop. I have an undercarriage water broom used with my pressure washer to keep things as clean as possible. Had considered NH oil but holding off for now.
Didn't want to drop the LUX package because I wanted the B&O system. Dropped several items to get scheduled. No Regrets!! I ordered the high package and swapped out all 6 speakers and added a JL powered sub and couldn't be happier.
I have the RCI sliders (love em') and the Rokblokz flaps (long) for Sas on a 2 dr. Wildtrak. Not a nick in the paint to date. What's nice is you can remove them in 5 minutes.
I'm sure this has been covered somewhere on this forum but I'm in the middle of putting things together. Is it OK to use the factory ground that is located behind the drivers side rear panel (2 door) to ground a powered subwoofer. I only see one factory ground with a rather large cable. Just...
Waiting on some kick panel speakers and a powered JL subwoofer. Replaced the 4" front (with bass blockers) and rear which made an improvement. I believe the powered subwoofer is going to be the major difference. All in for around $1000. Wildtrac with high package.
I've never considered any of my vehicles as an investment when I first purchased them . I bought them because they were what I wanted at the time. I'm one to keep, maintain, and drive them into the ground. I didn't go wrong with the 64 Fairlane K code Fairlane, 73 Bronco Ranger, and 75 F-100...
Looking to get them on this week-end. Can I ask which skid plate bolts you had to loosen to get them on? Just a little intimidated by the instructions, was hoping for a video on-line. On my back in a dim lit garage at 72 years but not new to busting my butt!
Yes, it has the skid plate. Just hearing the horror stories of the tank dropping off. Sounds like the skid plate would be easier than having to deal with the tank straps. I won't attempt this until I run most of the fuel out. Probably have a couple jacks under the tank skid plate for peace...
Finally got my 2 dr. Wildtrac and have had a set of RCI sliders to install. Just a question to someone who has done the installation. How far did you have to lower the gas tank to make the installation? Did you just loosen the tank skid plate bolts a little to lower it enough? Just a little...
It's been a long time since I wired any taillights, etc. I may be missing something but why would you need a power wire if your just tapping into taillight/brake/running lights? If you added a brake controller that would be different.
