I just got back from a 3 week trip, and have another 5 week trip comping up. No issues leaving the car parked. Honestly, 3 weeks is nothing. I leave my 2007 Porsche Cayman in the garage for the entire winter, and it still starts up with no issues after 4 months.

I think based on how the doors connect (internal vs external hinge) it would be a long shot to modify a jeep foot peg to a Bronco. I've just been resting my foot on the lower hinge, it sticks out far enough and is pretty comfy
