  1. Lug nuts questions

if anyone needs any black lugs I can get these through my wheel supplier. They are 12x1.50 19mm acorn bulge black duracoat to give longer wear , but all will get marked up and rust in my climate(eastern Canada). I’ve used for 3 winters so far and are still in good shape. Cost is 1.50 per lug...
  2. Blind Spot Detection with Cross Traffic Fault

Fault started about 2 weeks ago and just took it in as we purchased extended warranty to cover pretty much all potential issues. Of course it was chaffed wire from lack of wire protection in rear bumper. No surprise as it’s a Ford I guess. This turd will be traded once we near end of extended...
  3. Why Doesn't Ford use 35" KO2s on Sasquatch instead of Goodyears?

Most obvious would be price. But I am glad they didn’t use bfg either as they are garbage. I sell and install tires and falkens would have been great choice for all around weather and that’s what I quickly installed for my fall/winter/spring tire. Left the knock of wranglers to wear out during...
  4. Burning rubber smell when stopped??

Started to notice this about month ago as well. 21 wildtrak with over 60 thousand km on it. It is definitely something noticed when we are in wet conditions, and have had it happen quite frequently as we get a lot of wet snow, rain , and frequent freeze/thaw cycles. Happening as I type this...
  5. How many miles?

2021 Wildtrak currently 41000 miles, just over two years of ownership
  6. Dealer insists it’s 6 quarts for oil change on my 2.7L

I have done three changes so far and measured them all. I put on my hoist in my shop and let it drain for half hour at least. I have measured all three times and get pretty much 7qts out every time. So that’s what goes back in for me. Wish ford Wasn’t so cryptic and just clear up for all. Never...
  7. Mabett front mud flaps installed

I was able to turn it but was bit of a reach. should be able to unless fingers are too short or way too big? Use a hooked pick or something to move it enough to get finger on it. But should be able to.
  8. Mabbett mud flaps for SAS flares

I installed mine with the cloth behind the bracket. Figured it would be better to not have it metal on metal. I think it fit better this way.
  9. Mabett front mud flaps installed

Yes you do. Turn the five knobs and gently pop them off.
  10. Mabett front mud flaps installed

Got the mabett set of four today. Removed the temporary cheap generic ones I had on waiting for a good option that didn’t cost a fortune. Happy with the look and coverage, not sure when I’ll install the rear, maybe winter time. Installation is pretty simple for the fronts, takes about 15 min a...
  11. Question...ive had my Wildtrak for only 2 months. I am finding it doesnt handle well in heavier rain.

I have four sets of the falken wildpeak at3’s and I love them. I run them on all our 4 wheel drive vehicles year round expect to wear off these shitty wranglers that came on bronco. Our winters seem to be snow then rain back and forth here in eastern Canada so I’ve not run a winter only tire...
  12. Question...ive had my Wildtrak for only 2 months. I am finding it doesnt handle well in heavier rain.

I ran falken wildpeak at3 for winter on set of 17 aftermarket with 285/75/17’s and they are great in snow, slush, rain. Have two sets for my 3500 ram diesel and a set on my 02 Tacoma trd off-road as well. I sell tires and I tell anyone that these are best I’ve used and last and wear really well.
  13. Beauty ring bolts oxidized

Me too. My dealer is going to let me take them and do it at my shop as I’m licensed shop and they basically told me I’d do better job then them. Low man on totem pole would get this job, and them eff it up for sure.
  14. Beauty ring bolts oxidized

Good to know. I’ll just keep making them order them over and over. Maybe they will offer to pay for a better quality one. Shouldn’t need to considering the price we pay for these. Guess I’ll head back to Toyota if the new Tacoma or runners after the restyle. I’ll hopefully enjoy a few years with...
  15. Beauty ring bolts oxidized

Took 5 min in and out for them to say no problem we’ll get them ordered.
  16. Beauty ring bolts oxidized

Hey just wondering if anyone else has noticed the torx bolts holding the beauty rings on the Sasquatch wheels oxidizing? I had these on for about a month before I switched over to aftermarket for winters and stored inside my shop and when I put back on late April the nuts were all oxidized. Took...
  17. Is this the most wood ever hauled INSIDE a 6th gen Bronco?

Looks like a solid grand of lumber there.
  18. Bestop Trektop Slantback soft top finally installed

Not an issue. More than MIC but no problem to carry on conversations or listen to music at pretty much same level as with MIC top installed.
  19. Bestop Trektop Slantback soft top finally installed

Ok. But it’s not a mustang and designed totally different. Like mentioned if it’s not to any ones taste the ill fitting factory one could be purchased. Do you have MIC top currently? If so this is much easier to get the open air experience. And my wife’s 2019 mx5 rf has power top and more like...
  20. Bestop Trektop Slantback soft top finally installed

Well I’d agree but it does fold back, just not behind the rear compartment. Thus leaving room to still store gear more easily. I mean listen, everyone has a taste of what they prefer, but it does open up and you can get the open air if desired. If this one doesn’t appeal to someone they can go...
