Ok, so I'm not crazy. Its clearly a quality issue from Ford. I may try to use straps to lock that side down in the winter. I open the top too often in the summertime to deal with it. But it drives me CRAZY to hear an open window the entire time I'm driving!!!!
The dealer tried to balance my stock 35" goodyears. They messed them up the first time, then couldn't get them right the 2nd time. I had a local tire shop I trust take care of it, now ride is perfect. I did a trip to discount tire after the dealer, they were better but still issues.
Its all...
Actually, that would work. The issue is I'd need to zip tie it every time I fold the top fully back. However it would stop the noise.
I'll try it tomorrow. If it works, then I'll go from there.
MIne is 100% latched properly. However on the passenger side, above the rear door, the top does not stay fimly attached to the metal roof. It pops up a little, even when latched closed. This leaves an opening for wind to get through, similar to a window being cracked open.
Hi all, I figured out the root cause of the issue. When you fold the top open, there's a piece that lays between the top and the roof. On the drivers side, it sits flush with the metal roof. On the drivers side, it doesn't sit firm on the metal roof, it kinda "floats". I could not figure out how...
You got a great deal. Dealers in my area are still charging over MSRP. I had to buy out of state for MSRP. Dont forget Bronco's are still scarce on lots so its not only what you paid, but the fact you got what you wanted.
I've had this top for 2 months, figured I'd do a quick video to help others. I spent hours looking. I went DD since its higher quality, uses straps, and the mesh fits well. I leave it on 100% of the summer to reduce wind noise for the rear passengers and block UV. I also bought the headliner...
Checking in again... anybody found a fix? This noise drives me CRAZY. It has to be an engineering defect as others have it too.
Stuffing a towel up there isn't a good solution in the summertime since I take the top up / down quite a bit.
Maybe I can stuff some smaller foam or somehting up...
After taxes, trade in, etc there is no gurantee you'll save $6k by going to a lower model.
If you drive yours for a day or a month, it won't affect your trade in value. So drive it around, see how much you like it, then keep your eye out for a lower cost model. These are not easy to find on...
The Goodyears are soft tires. I don't have an issue with the tires, they are a soft ride. Its the tread pattern that you feel when the road is flat, causes a little shimmer on pavment. Its nothing bad, but looking for options that could be an improvement.
My R8 and GT3, those have a FIRM...
35" Options? Has anybody tried running a set of 315 SAS stock size on either of these tires?
I'm considering less aggressive options, but most seem to run these in 285.
Edit: turns out the tires were way out of balance. After two tire balances at the dealer, I knew something wasn't right. So I had a dedicated tire guy do a proper balance (same guys who do my sports cars). After a few highway drives, the drive is totaly different. Next step is to get my $$$...
2022 Big Bend. I have sport mode, but no 4A. Can I use Forscan or another tune pack to add the 4A drive mode? I'm reading the thread that Forscan unlocks GOAT modes, but I don't think that means it will allow me to unlock 4A if it was not an option at purchase.
