Hey all! Hopefully this is the right section to post this. Anyone had any experience with this product or something like it? Seems like a reasonable alternative to getting covered in oil every time. I'm not a huge fan of the price tag, but maybe there's something else out there that's similar...
Hey! Thanks for posting!
I noticed your solution is very similar to Barnes 4wd. Could you give some insight into your product enhancements that would lend itself to the price difference?
Link to Barnes posting...
Barnes shock skids are good now on all stock suspension. I reached out to Barnes and explained the situation and they reworked their solution. The updated model is now available on their site.
They probably would've been able to do a trail repair if they hadn't put those tie rod sleeves on. Just moves the failure point from the tie rods to a more expensive component.
I didn't find one for the front lower control arm mounting point. You happen to have a link?
Also, did you get an alignment done following the damage? If so, was there a change?
I was doing so good, so good, on this trip last weekend. Didn't scrape a single thing, until I hit some mud, and there was a hidden rock.
Left is passenger side, with the bent lower control arm mounting point, and right is the driver's side, unaffected.
Should I be worried about that passenger...
It looks like they have an add on for including a fuse. I was assuming that was unnecessary since the headlights have their own fuses. Is that correct?
