Wow, I guess no need to pull the motor out. Mine was done at 5600 miles. Supposedly they did not pull the motor out either. This sucks though so many guys continue to have these phasers fail. So I guess Ford never fixed the problem. So can we expect to have these phasers fail once again after...
Depends on availability of all gaskets parts and bolts. 9 weeks for me
100 % cam phasers. Had the same noise and problem. There are more and more people getting this issue. Took dealer 9 weeks to get fixed due to parts. Take it to a different dealer or contact Ford directly.
There is more to it than just phaser replacement. My service guy told me today it’s a package of items ford wants them to replace, including all camshafts . Weird. It’s being worked on right now supposedly should be ready by end of week. We will see
Most members here say that the whole engine needs to come out to do the job. At dealer the service advisor told me it doesn’t but I will know after they do the job
Week 7 and still at dealer . I still don’t have it . Some parts were on back order. They just got all the parts but now who knows when they complete the job.
I also took delivery of my truck November of 22. And at 5700 miles cam phasers went out. So it’s something to do with the engines being built in that time frame. Ford quality gotten extremely bad .
My truck is at dealer still. Week 7. Two parts to do the job were on back order. Some gasket and vent tube. On the positive side. I put on 2,000 miles on their loaner instead of my own car. Lol
Pulling the motor is what Ford recommends but I had some master machanics look a Bronco and they said it’s not necessary there is enough space to do it without pulling the motor.
