Shattering rear glass has been a Ford problem for a long time. I have dealt with it on the F150 side, where it is still too common. Be careful using the rear defrost too (if you live in cold areas), I've had mine burn up for no reason and plenty of people tying use to shattering rear windows...
Unfortunately my Bronco was hard top only, so no brackets. I looked through the other posts on this forum to get a parts list, but some of the brackets are very scarce, so prices have been hiked from $30 to between $350-$1500…. I’ll reach out if I ever find a set.
Hi, sorry for the delay. If the top is still available can you please answer a few questions:
Was the top installed / used?
If so, what is the condition?
Are you willing to swap the necessary brackets, or are these already with the top (do these come separately with the soft top when getting...
It is all marketing / positioning. The Braptor was deigned to sit below the F150 Raptor price-wise, and as such, they designed it to approach (stretching here), but not exceed the F150 performance. 15-20k on each Braptor sticker was tacked on simply because people were paying it to...
Yes...be very careful with getting anything on painted trim pieces - many cleaners/protectants with eventually soften/damage the finish. Even excessive grease from you hands will eventually take their toll. I don't understand how it is 2024 and OEMs are still using this crap. Painted trim is...
Finally checking back in, as my issues has been fixed and I might have a few tips that may help someone else. Thankfully, as hoped, the cal engineer was able to restore my correct base and FPT files. As it happened, then morning of my appointment with him, he also pushed a ProCal Update to fix...
Thank you for the replies. It looks like I will have to try to get it settled tomorrow, as I had to come into the office today. I am hoping that they actually have a backup (or have access to these files, as they should). On other forums, people said that they were told that (contrary to...
Hello everyone. Last weekend I plugged my ProCal into my PC to keep things up to date. The SW “updated” the tool, but also wiped out my files. I have since found reports of this happening on other forums (Explorer ST and others), but didn’t find anything here. I have a contact for tech...
One update regarding the MLC-6 that may help someone out there... A few months back, I had the dreaded brake control module improper shutdown codes, and had to take my Bronco to the dealer for service. I disconnected my MLC-6 before taking it in, so there was no hassle, but it turns out my...
Be sure to be careful when considering harnesses and wiring. Many of the light pairs can pull up to 6A each (or possibly more - check your specs). The harness pictured above is a great example of not being appropriate in stock form if you ever plan to activate more than a pair at a time. The...
I would absolutely get out of it one way or another, some cars are just messed up - this happens with every brand (though I am not defending Ford’s declining quality in any way). Either cut your losses with the buyback, or have it fixed and see what you can get for a trade in. At this point...
Holy Bronco Tax Batbeeotch... I understand that it takes time/money to develop something like this, but $2500 for a display that doesn't seamlessly support basic functionality (or display the correct vehicle) sounds a little crazy, even by Bronco standards. Trying to recoup all engineering...
Sorry to be anal, but the BRaptor doesn't share it's engine or trans with the F150 Raptor. Without needing the necessary weak-tranny protections in place, there is a huge difference in performance - more than it looks like on paper. Also, keep in mind that BRaptor was originally...
