  1. Epic fail on the reservations

As a software engineer I am unable to get this to work on any browser. There is no excuse for this failure. This failure has nothing to do with 'too many people' other than Ford's failure in design and execution. This is 2020 and cloud elasticity programatically takes care of swells of...
  2. Epic fail on the reservations

As a software engineer I am unable to get this to work - Edge does not work, nor does Chrome or Firefox - I am still unable to reserve. Always good to ensure all browsers work before you ship the code people, it'sstandard practice - again, amateur hour. HEY FORD - you win, I quit. Go FORD...
  3. Epic fail on the reservations

2 hours 9 minutes and still down. As a Ford shareholder I am displeased with the lack of validation and rigor put into such an important launch. In today's world of cloud computing scaling up for large volume of traffic is easy and effective. There is literally no excuse for this outage, its...
  4. Epic fail on the reservations

There are so many issue here its hard to parse - the fact that I got as far as I did before it failed on my dealer not taking online reservations shows they have no idea what they are doing and did not walk through the flow before launch. This is amateur hour.
  5. Bronco Reservations Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

BS - you are damage control for FORD - as a software developer I am fully aware at all the sticking points and none of this holds water - the site is down, they did not test it before and this kind of crap is purely amateur hour. No amount of BS can take away that fact.
  6. Epic fail on the reservations

    2 hours outage Still broken
  7. Bronco Reservations Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

Still can't reserve anything and I did all the pre-requisite account setup et al. You know, the more I think about it the more I get the feeling the dealer will probably try to screw me with double-sticker BS anyway so maybe I'll just skip this goat rodeo. Sad, legacy automakers have so...
  8. Epic fail on the reservations

1 hour and 51 minute outage... In today's cloud compute landscape, these kinds of outages are super easy to avoid. I have lost all hope that Ford will be able to save themselves - the future has more to do with software than anything else, and Ford's performance today indicates a bleak...
  9. Epic fail on the reservations

Utter BS - they need to be honest, we've had enough of the corporate narrative and marketing downplay. You F***ed up, own up to that and redeem your maturity.
  10. Epic fail on the reservations

1 hour and still down Ford needs to issue an apology that's honest and not some BS "due to high demand" excuse. None of this is excusable in 2020 and frankly, you had way more time than you needed to get it right. I am certain exec's over at FCA are laughing their asses off.
  11. Epic fail on the reservations

50 minute outage and counting. Its not like you did not have enough time to get this right - c'mon Ford, we have been waiting for years...
  12. Epic fail on the reservations

This should read: Due to the fact that we are amateurs and could not scale cloud compute, we are not able to serve up a basic website ordering system. Please come back later when we pulled our heads out of our asses and figured out its 2020.
  13. Epic fail on the reservations

@ 40 minutes and still broken - epic outage at the worst time. How much did Ford have riding on this launch?
  14. Epic fail on the reservations

Thanks, but this was easily avoided by scaling up before the launch and running load/perf to validate. Folks did not do their job, at a normal software company people would be packing up their offices. Amateur hour. As a Ford shareholder I am not pleased.
  15. Bronco Reservations Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

Nothing because the site was poorly done and it is F****** broken. What an epic fail. First VW shows us how to do software wrong on the ID.3, now Ford shows the world how to do a website.
  16. Epic fail on the reservations

Hey Ford - open a software arm in Seattle and you may attract some actual talent. Michigan is clearly were software goes to die.
  17. Epic fail on the reservations

After 30 minutes of their big reveal their site is still busted. WOW
  18. Epic fail on the reservations

What a goat rodeo. I do online services for a living and scaling up prior to a launch is a no-brainer. After fighting with their site I finally got to a reservation screen, when I clicked reserve I get - hey your s**t dealer does not accept reservations. EPIC FAIL If this is the best...
  19. Bronco Warthog "Raptor" to Launch as 2023 Model Year

"Launch date is January 2021, possibly Feb 2021" Damn! I literally joined the forum this week, I guess I'll check back at the end of summer. Have a great spring and summer everyone and stay safe.
