The only design element of the new Bronco that bugs me, although I don't even dislike it in a vacuum, is the grille + headlight design which doesn't really refer to the original. In the original, there is a flat grille and headlights that sit inside of the tip of the front fenders, which creates...
I've read that Ford invested in repair training and tools such that repairing aluminum parts is no longer expensive.
It seems like everything with body paint is aluminum. The only thing that Jalopnik didn't explicitly cover is the windshield frame.
I imagine that there will be some cool aftermarket fender flares as well that might suit your style a little better. Personally, I'm hoping that someone makes flat edged fender flares like in the original Bronco.
Does anybody know which body parts are aluminum? Is the frame all steel? So far I've only heard that the hood and swing gate are aluminum. I was hoping for as much aluminum as possible.
Well, I am now lol. I had no idea about the class action or 10 speed issues. The good news is that the new Lincoln Aviator hasn't yet run into the same type of problems, so hopefully Ford has worked out the kinks in more recent applications of the 10 speed.
I like how the headlights look in this pic. Don't the other pictures show the round headlights further toward the edge and sloping back slightly? I really hope the actual model turns out more like this.
That bud huh? When I first heard about it, it seemed kind of cheap, but since then, I've seen people doing it to expensive cars with what seem like pretty remarkable results. I wonder if its "cheap" reputation is truly deserved?
Thanks for the suggestions y'all. I know that there are some good aftermarket options - wrap is probably the best in order to avoid messing with the paint. It's just that OEM paint is ideal for several reasons. Not a dealbreaker by any means - just hoping that Ford will expand its options in the...
What a boss lol. At least with the Mustang, you can order a Bullitt in Highland Green. It looks like you can build a regular one in lime green too. Kind of strange to me that the Bronco will not have any green option standard - seems like a classic choice for any retro "Jeep" style car
Might the new Bronco have custom paint options available from the factory, and if so, how much does that usually cost? I like the current set of colors but feel like it's really missing green. Ideally, I'd go for a dark seafoam metallic green with white trim similar to the ones below. Though I'm...
Hi everyone,
First of all, happy Father's Day! I've been a lurker for a very long time and decided to finally make an account. I can't believe that the Bronco is finally almost out! I'd hoped that they'd build one since I saw the '04 Concept in my Autoweek Magazine as a kid. The spy pics so...
