As a range extender it is a great idea. I don’t think you’re supposed to go rock crawling with it up there.
it’s basically a big electric rotopax.
I head out of town tomorrow. I will mess with it when I get back next week and I can leave it on a tender.
waited around an hour and then had to get on with my life. Stuck at “Reading…”
It was a sensor that needed replaced.
it’s a sensor that is clipped to the Freon lines straight down in the engine bay from the diverter/blow off valve.
It’s in a hot spot of the engine and the clip was getting soft that held the sensor. It allowed the sensor to come loose.
get them to hook a...
I ended up wiring it to an aux for now. The wiring loom is really well wrapped up and I don’t want to dig into it.
I’ll probably do an add a fuse on something in the fuse box at some point.
How sure are you?
I have one, but it looks like where to soft top bolts on makes it impossible to bolt the top on without slicing some new holes.
Would be great if it does work though.
It looks like mine was a pressure sensor on a Freon line.
There is a pressure sensor on a Freon line very close to the turbo area. It gets hit there and the clip that holds it on seemed soft from heat.
Once they replace mine I plan wrap some heat shielding around it to keep it from getting...
Took mine to a ford dealer yesterday.
They had it for the day and couldn’t replicate the issue. Said everything seemed to be working properly.
Left the dealer and it started to only blow hot on the way home.
Dropped it at another dealer before I got home.
I saw that the 2.3 in the mustang...
Just had mine stop working today.
Owned for maybe a month.
2.3 eco boost 10 speed auto.
It tried to blow cold a couple of times, but now it seems like it’s done with working at all.
Very helpful.
I’m wiring it all up Wednesday.
I’ll try to take some photos and post a how-to guide with photos that is easy to follow.
I may end up going the add a fuse route too.
To be clear: I am not looking for a way to turn on or off the parking or driving lights. I’m looking for a wire to tap into for backlights on a light bar or “raptor lights.”
also, nothing to do with the dome light. Although that additional dome light thread has started new wheels turning in my...
I found this thread which is helpful, but it would be nice to have a simple photo of where and how to tap under the hood.
I will work on it next weekend and post it up if someone hasn’t by then.

No, more like “running lights” circuit. For the lights on the front of the car that are required to be on when vehicle is running regardless of night or day.
Like the title says.
looking for a simple place to tap into the driving lights. (Lights that are on whenever vehicle is on.)
I have seen this asked a Variety of ways with no clear answer found.
If it has been answered please point me to that thread.
Thanks!
