I couldn't agree more and really wish I would've done this when I ordered years ago. Unfortunately I had not yet spent hundreds of hours researching the Bronco and knew next to nothing about gearing and lockers. It really wasn't until after I did the off-roadeo that I was kicking myself for not...
It was said in the opening post but I really wish there was a canvas/soft door option. I want to go doorless all summer but with heavy rain/thunderstorms popping up pretty consistently, it would be great to have something to quickly pop in to stop water from getting inside.
The 3rd time I took my panels off, I sliced my hand pretty deep. I was on a 500 mile road trip and stopped at a rest stop to quickly remove them since it was nice out. That day I learned the valuable lesson to never rush when removing any part of the Bronco. If I'm removing the mid panel by...
I rarely sit them up vertically because it blocks my rearview, but I definitely do not stack anything on top of them. Before this thread, I really didn't think about the weight of one panel on top of the other. Maybe I'll do the proper vertical storage more often.
I went solo to NH last summer. I loved it! To be fair, I tend to like doing a lot of things solo, so it didn't bother me to not have a buddy. But as everyone is saying, you'll likely get the option to be the lead car which by far is the coolest. The instructor jumped in with me from time to time...
I don't have two but I kick myself almost daily for not putting another reservation in during summer 2020. Family members wanting to drive it is a big reason. But I also think it would've been nice to have a more basic model that I could leave the roof and doors off during warmer weather.
I'm curious about how many of you that drive directly on the beach have some sort of undercarriage coating? I drove on the beach all last summer without any protection, but always tried to rinse the undercarriage well afterwards. I know there are other threads about undercoatings, but I wanted...
This will be my second summer with my Bronco and I think I might spend the majority of it with my doors off and roof on. Last year I took the front and middle roof panels off all the time, but I found my passengers would get uncomfortable with the sun directly on them for longer than 5 min...
I chose OBX because the only off-roading I'm doing is the beaches (which mine does great at) and I wanted the roast interior and lux package. I originally wanted to go for the Black Diamond, but realistically knew I wasn't going to utilize many of the off-road features. Eventually I would like...
I live by the beach and have driven the Bronco on the beach since last April. The only rust I have is a little under the seats but mainly from having the doors off in a couple heavy rain storms without being able to dry it quick enough. Nowhere near your amount of rust. Something seems fishy.
Great thread! I don't have a boat but I have been bass fishing off my stand up paddle board and I love it. As the weather gets warmer I'm going to try to get an hour or two of fishing in before work!
I am glad you're okay. As winter approaches, I am starting to worry more about accidents. Thank you for sharing this information. I'm glad to see the Bronco kept you safe.
I have nothing to add to this except to say that I am sorry. Within the past couple weeks, I have witnessed so many cars running red lights. My parents just got rear ended in their sedan a few days ago. They said the police report will take about 5 days.
I hope things work out as best as they...
Roast looks so good in person. I was a little unsure when I ordered (specifically because of the blue accents) but when I picked it up its erased any doubts. I constantly get compliments on the interior. I've even had BB and Badlands owners make comments about how they wish they had my interior.
Just installed about an hour ago. Very happy with how it looks and feels so far! Wish I would've read this about the wing tabs. That was the only complaint I had about install. Didn't have a sander and really had to use some force to get a couple of them to fit.
As people have said, doing it alone is pretty great. I'm a beginner and did NH solo and got to be the lead car. Got the guide in my car for a lot of it for extra tips and got to try every obstacle first. Because I was the lead car, I couldn't watch how others got through stuff first and I just...
I think it definitely depends on the dealer. I ordered floor liners using points and picked them up 24 hours later. Paid for and out of there in less than 3 minutes. Even with this positive experience, I would rather order to my home.
It took me a few tries to get them set up so the bag would zip easily. When you put the driver side panel in first, spin the clips back to their "locking position". It will help the passenger side slide in way easier. Now I can get the panels off and bag zipped in about 3 minutes by myself.
