So, I sell a lot of stuff on fb marketplace, forums, Kijiji etc. Every time I get a bunch of people complaining and saying I'm an idiot and it's too expensive and it'll never sell... then it always does. 🤡
At this point, I feel like if I'm not getting harassed about the price, I didn't list it...
I never updated this, but yeah, I had a tiny chip right in the bottom corner outside of view. :| Waiting who knows how long on replacement glass and hopeful it's not a recurring trend.
Correct. It's the primary defrost button on the dual temp model. It sets heat to max and directs air exclusively to defrost.
Gotta be a defect. No way Ford would give you that button if they expected -5C to blow up your windshield.
Appreciate the vote of confidence. I was feeling like I somehow missed some universal truth about windshield defrosting.
I'm also gonna vote defect, with very minor possibility of an existing chip, but I feel like it would be visible along the crack, or I would have noticed it in all my...
Huh, thanks for the input everyone! Somehow this is news to me...
For context, still doesn't inspire a lot of confidence... I live in Victoria so cold is -5 degrees C...
I've also never had this happen in any of my past vehicles (7 different shit boxes) and I used to live in Ottawa with -30...
Have had a Bronco for a couple of months now. Under 2k KM driven.
Today we had our first big snow and sub zero temperature. Had the windshield defrost on and after 5 mins, out of nowhere there was a pop, and I watched a crack form and spread half way across the windshield.
Another few minutes...
I was ready to pull out my credit card reading the title, but not flipping the top was a major disappointment, and not opening the back meant I'm no longer even remotely interested.
Otherwise looks great, hope y'all can come up with some creative solutions.
btw, for anyone else shopping sound, there's a huge sale on pretty much all JL stuff right now. Not sure what the occasion is, but I believe it ends at the end of October.
Here's the C2-650s as an example:

Just finished phase 1 of my sound system install.
Full disclosure: I've never installed a sound system in a car before but was really shooting for that bang for your buck sweet spot.
Now, depending on how folks respond, if someone else is trying to install components in place of the kick and...
I'm biased but I love it. The drink holders being side by side is great, and the little phone holder I circled is nice. Only downside is I'll probably need to DIY a wireless charger..... unless.....
Round two, eh?
Now that my trucks actually arrived, I'm ready. Broke my shoulder so I haven't been able to venture into the dirt yet (can barely drive yet, tbh). Would love to convince my friends to help me install these before the maiden voyage.
Here's a pretty intimate photo
Thanks for the replies! Since this post, I've decided to just go with components in the front (Tentatively JL C2650), and just replace the front 4" with the tweeters.
I'm torn on whether I want to pursue bi-amping/active crossover or whether I should just stick with passive and give some extra...
The fact that those fenders exist makes me hate my BL a little. Don't even get me started on that tan.
Looks awesome, and I fully support your decision to keep the baby sasquatch.
