It’s a simple fix and I’m not sure why Ford isn’t acknowledging it and fixing it. They don’t even need to turn the rotors, a simple sanding on both the rotor and pad fixes this issue.

The dealer will more than likely not do anything for you and Ford never got back to me. It was just easier to do it myself and after sanding down my pads (a lot) and rotors, the squealing and grinding never returned. The downside is that I know I’m going to have to replace my pads soon.

Yes, just took some semi-coarse sanding paper to them. The rotors were fine. And as a bonus, you get to see how easy it is to replace these pads.

Hey Mike, Ford reached out in April but never followed up after I completed their survey. I took my Bronco to two dealers several times from Feb thru June and finally just decided to handle it myself. Since I sanded the pads and rotors down in early June, I haven’t had any squealing.

After zero reply from the dealership and Ford, I also took matters into my own hands. I sanded down my pads and rotors and the squeal is gone! Next step is changing the pads if this temp fix doesn’t last. Good luck fellas and ladies!

1700 miles on my OBX and the squealing just started at every damned stop. Ugh…

Replaced my my stock Outer Banks wheels and suspension with SAS wheels and suspension. Had 57 miles on it when I swapped out. Looking to sell to someone local (El Paso area). $500.00 for all 5 wheels and complete suspension.

She’s finally here! Day one I installed SAS suspension (+ perch collars), wheels and fender flares! Honestly, I think I like the color matched fender flares more. Now I just need a hardtop, a dome light and some better speakers.
