I can highly recommend https://fourwheelcovers.com/. Here's a shot of mine when I was still on 32's; I had to have a new one made for my 33's because they fit nice and snug.
I really only use it when I am teaching a K9 course as I prefer the look of my nice black steel wheel, I do five tire...
Using a portable now but would like to free up cargo space. However, your web site lacks key information:
What are the dimensions?
What is the mounting bolt pattern?
There is no full wiring diagram. This is necessary if someone want to use an upfitter switch to trigger the compressor.
It is...
When I first received my Bronco I almost immediately swapped out the dash and rear pod speakers for Polk DB 402 units. (As a side note, I like to taker my top off, and this means sometimes you get surprised and rained on. So I try to keep everything either water resistant or protected from...
2023 BD 4 Door, MIC top:
For the last two years I have been chasing a rattle coming from the passenger side, center section, forward latch area. Here is what I did to track this down:
Added vacuum port covers to the various pins. No change.
Carefully aligned all adjustable latch plates on the...
Started with a BD 7M. First season I did trails with it stock. 32's and a rear locker take you pretty far.
Second season added 5100's (I scored a set for around $400 but even new at $600 a deal). Arguably better quality than the yellow Bilsteins. Added 33" MT's. Ran the stock tires in the...
I shortened the bracket and deepened the slots with an angle grinder, then deburred with a scothbrite wheel as well as a Dremel tool. I like nice edge margins. I used Aux 3 and wired with mil-spec Tefzel wire and Amp sure-seal terminals. I made my own cable from the battery with marine #2 cable...
Open the fuse box. Make sure the mounting screws are tight. I had this happen to me and remembered reading about this issue on this forum. Fixed it and it never came back.
If the digital speedometer is consistently showing 1 mph high it is likely correct and programmed to read 1 mph high. If the calibration is off this deviation will increase with speed. Once I had mine dialed in it read 1 mph high from 20 mph to 90 mph
Spring: Clean underside, wire brush rust, rust converter, Krylon semi-gloss black
Fall: Repeat spring, then Fluid Film
We bought a JK Rubicon last fall that had pretty nasty frame surface rust and started this procedure. Undercarriage came through Wisconsin's winter great.
I can add a winter review now...my stock Grabbers now live on my JK Rubicon as it came with old BFG MT's that had good tread but were very hard and old.
They MT's are very good in winter, in some respect better than the Generals (namely in slushy snow) and in some respects worse (light dry...
I have the M2M in my Bronco. They are, like everything I have from M2M, excellent.
I have the DV8 in my JK Rubicon. They are good, but the level of quality is just a bit shy of the M2M pieces.
I have nice LED fogs and driving lights, but the biggest improvement was installing a set of old-school Hella driving lights, aimed like low beams. Why, because the LED lights cannot go 25 miles without icing with a wet snow or road spray from a salted road, and the heated LED headlights cost...
The RR point 5 antenna is excellent and pretty unobtrusive. It likely outperforms the Ghost antenna.
Comet HAM radio antennas fit in the RR NMO mount. Diamonds do not.
Started with a Black Diamond, so I I already had a rear locker, steel bumpers, rock rails and skid plates. Ran it stock for the first season outside of a mobile GMRS radio. Rock rails and skids have been completely adequate for the tight woods trails in Wisconsin. They have been used.
Season...
Or better, get a set of Bilstein 5100's, arguably better than the stock Bronco Bilsteins, and you don't have to worry about having the proper spring rate, and you don't have to worry if it is one of the recalled rear shocks.
Step 1: Join https://www.wc4wd.com/
Step 2: Come to organized trail rides.
Step 3: Get fresh pinstriping and break the flares on the Raptor on tight wooded trails. š
APIM in and all is (almost) good. When I picked up the Bronco my dual band mobile no longer turned on. The plug to the remote head wasn't fully seated, no big deal. But in the process of troubleshooting I dropped the glove box to check for power to the transceiver. I found the tech had made an...
Yes to all of that. Complete control of am/fm/Sirius through the steering wheel controls. Normal heat. Itās 12°F here in WI so I havenāt tried AC š
