I have the Hooke Road soft top rack and I was getting a terrible flapping sound at the back. I couldn't figure out how to make it stop and pretty much gave up... Then, when I mounted my roof top tent to it, the sound went away 🤷♂️
So yea, the RTT is never coming off now 😂
Was considering trading my Bronco for a Colorado ZR2 (wanted more tow capacity) Dealership appraised my Bronco at $42k... Took it to CarMax, $39k 🤦
I have a 2022 Badlands Sas Lux w/ MGV. 33k miles. No accidents, no damage, everything functional.
I haven't solved it... But I have reduced it... There are brackets the pass through the opening between the rear side windows and the top. It leaves a gap that wind comes through and creates the turbulence that creates the flapping.
I rolled up a moving blanket I had laying around and tried to...
Following up here... I drove it for the first time over 40mph... and with all windows up the rear plastic windows flap against the metal supports pretty violently. It's super annoying... I need to find a solution to stop it from happening.
Interestingly if I crack all 4 windows, it stops.
I'm...
I just installed this a couple days ago.
Install was pretty easy. Quality seems good enough.
You CANNOT fully open the back part of the soft top with this installed... A small design tweak would have made it possible... But oh well, I was prepared to lose that functionality.
The rear side...
To elaborate... There is a 1hr trip that I do at least 3 days a week. The Mustang sits much lower that the Bronco, obviously, and it's a stick shift. Bronco is automatic. Within days of trading the Mustang for the Bronco, I did this 1hr trip, and immediately noticed the back pain. Initial Injust...
I felt it from day 1. I'm just now getting around to trying to do something about because I just got back from a long road trip and I'm tired of putting up with it 🤷
I'm pretty sure I have lumbar cranked to the max. Still, the seats feel a little flat... Maybe kind of leaned forward? Hard to say really. I just know it gives me terrible back pain 😅
Hey Y'all!
I have a 2022 4dr Badlands Lux w/ MGV(Took delivery June 2022 and put 27k miles on it already). It has manual seat adjustments and I can get it to "comfortable enough" but on drives of 1hr+ I get pretty bad back pain. I did a 9hr straight drive and my back hurt for like 2 weeks...
I've had this happen to me in 4L while off road too. I was usually ready to hit the brakes right away so it only ever just lurched forward suddenly and unexpectedly. I was never sure if it was something I was doing wrong though 🤔
You could also just sell your BS local, take a 1 way rental and drive your new Bronco back.
I test drove both the BS and Bronco before getting my Badlands.
I considered getting the BS and modding it to be more capable, but figured the aftermarket wasn't going to be there. And after driving a...
